Your body is a little out of wack right now. Wait a couple months and your body will start to digest the food better. You lost 12lbs way to go !!! Just remember you will have ups and downs with the band especially in the first few months. however it does get better.

Hello - How did your surgery go? So its been one week. you must be starting to feel better now. Please email any questions you may have. I mostly was sleeping my first week because the pain meds knocked me out. I was also so dehydrated after surgery. I was so thirsty. I really hope you are doing well. let me know.

Hello Jodi - I was banded on 3/23/09 and was the same weight/size/shoe/ring size, everything as you in the beginning. I really hope I can follow your lead. You have really done a great great job. Its been fun reading your posts.

Hello my name is Laurie Jean - I was banded on 3/23/09 - the weight is coming off slow now. I go to the Dr for my 2nd fill on 7/16. I really hope this will make a difference in my appetite. How are you doing with your 2nd fill? are you still getting good restriction?

I just started curves for $30.00 for four weeks, it's a special that's going on right now. I'm down 17 pounds since surgery. I haven't lose any weight this week so I hope working out will help.

My dog is part American Bulldog and part Dalmatian. Shes from the pound. I got her when she was only 4 months old the day she was to be put down. Shes now eight and such a love!!!

I'm doing great. it's been four weeks post-op and I'm still on the mushies and some solids. I just started going to Curves and I love it.they are having a special deal right now for $30 for 4 weeks. hope your doing well.

Hello - I'm doing great as well - I went back to work today and was able to stay all day no sweat! I have lost 20 pounds before surgery and now I'm down 12 more pounds post op! I'm still on the clear liquids and start the Pureed diet tomorrow! I cant wait, I get to have scrambled eggs in the morning!! It will be like heaven to me.

You sound great and your doing wonderful. I know the Gas pain is the worst - Right?

Hi! I'm doing great! almost myself again. MMMMMMMM Mussies I cant wait!! I see my doc on April 7th to get the go ahead on the mussies.

I go back to work this Monday and I must say I'm ready.

OMG - I am so with you right now!!! - OH the PAIN!!! the Gas is killing me too!

Girl - I want to say - You can do this and It will get better each and everyday. Your Depression will go away and yes I feel it to but we can and will get through this. I know it.

Now as for you going back to work so soon. I'm really sorry for you and concerned please take it easy and if you need to just go lay down someplace for a bit you should and let your boss know to take it easy on you. Please be careful driving also.

Good morning - I'm doing pretty good. Still have the gas pains after each meal and my port area is still a bit sore. My energy has come back and all I want to do now is clean my house. I think I pushed myself to hard the other day. So I need to still remind myself to take is easy.

So your on day 5 and without the pain meds - Good for you. Day 6 and 7 you will be feeling much better. But remember to still take it easy on yourself. Do you have any hunger pains for real food? Boy I sure do.

Hello Ben - This has been quite a journey for me! So you too had surgery on March23! - OK this is day 7 for me and I now feel great in the morning with a bit of soreness to my port area. However the gas pain always comes back after I eat (oops drink) my food. So that part still sucks. I am now able to sleep on both sides of my body with out pain, Yeah! I'm off the pain meds now. My tummy is itchy and I have major head hunger in the afternoon but yes each day gets just a little bit better.

That's great news about your weight loss in total. You are just doing fabulous in recovery!! Thanks for reminding me that every day gets a little better ( and your right it really does). How long was it until you could sit up with out pain in your tummy? I'm 6 days out and its getting better but I can sit at the computer for about 30 min before it starts hurting. I have a desk job and was just wondering.

Thanks for giving me hope that it will all get better.

Yes, I'm up and around also. It hurts if I sit to long. I need to be flat on my back. My Gas pain is all in my tummy it never made it up to my shoulders. However I'm now Hungry all the time. I fantasize all about real food! The broth is just not cutting it anymore. How about you? Are you having any hunger pains?

Hi - I know the pain can get really bad!!! keep taking you pain meds every four hours. For me It wasn't until today four days after my surgery that I would say I feel a lot better. Its the gas in my tummy that really really hurts! ouch! but I only had to take my pain med two times today. not bad for me.

I'm glad your home. did you have the cotton mouth at the hospital? did they give you any ice chips?

The pain meds they gave me make you really itchy. I'm on my pain meds right now and my writing is all over the place. Sorry about that.

thank you for checking in on me. Today this morning I woke up feeling much better. the only problem is the gas pain in my tummy. the gas x strips help but then it comes back in a few hours. So Teresa are you on the pureed foods yet? How is your hunger doing.

Me on the other hand is very sensitive says the Dr and nurses. I was in sooo much pain after surgery. They keep me over night and keep checking my blood pressure every two hours and keep gave me shots of I'm not sure what. They also keep drawing blood from me. The nurse said I gave them quite a scare on the operating table when my heart rate went down to 5.

I'm home now a doing so much better still in some pain but my liquid pain meds help a lot.

Food looks really good to me that I see on TV but that's all in my head I'm really not hungry at all. I drink lots of Protein water and have clear soup broths that taste like heaven to me right now. My Dr said I could have watered down and strained cream of mushroom about 4oz. Its soooo good.
