10+ years maintaining weight loss - anyone here?
sugarfree replied to sugarfree's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thanks for your answer. Yes, I asked my surgeon and she seems to believe that post-surgery, there is one group that gains weight at 10 year mark, getting close to the pre-op weight and then the group that perform a complete lifestyle change, that manage to maintain weight loss at a stable level, due to lifestyle and habit changes. I hope to be part of the second group, but just at few months post-surgery, I find it challenging to manage constant snacking. -

Hi all, I am at 3 months post-op in my RYGB, overall feeling great. But have challenges with portions, I tend to eat to the point of almost feeling too full. Can you please share with me in .oz or grams an average meal quantity at this stage in your journey? I know everyone is different. Thank you!

Too thin and no loose skin? Is that possible?
sugarfree posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hello all! I was wondering if there’s anyone in here that lost so much weight post WLS that all loose skin has been eaten » up by the body « ? Every now and then I read anecdotal stories of people that lost weight through extreme restriction and that had all loose skin gone too because protein got broken down by the body as a mechanism of ensuring protein to support muscles. Thanks! -

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here would like to share their experience with life post-surgery in a hectic work environment with long hours and loads of traveling? How long after surgery were you back in a plane? Did anything change in your focus or levels of energy? Intellectual energy? Thank you ! -

Hi ladies, Have any of you gone through wls on your own, without telling anyone, even to your husband? My husband is not supportive and I am at a loss trying to convince him, without ending up fighting.
