  1. I used Dr. Davis in Aug. and I'm very happy. He was recommended by my internist and it ends up that the only other person I know personally who had lapband also went to Dr. Davis. I felt great immediately after surgery. Have not had a single day of difficulty since. Was out walking the next day. You don't really see the doctor ever again after surgery. Instead you see his nurse practitioner who takes care of post op visits and fills. Can't tell you any negatives about my experience
  2. i've gotten into eating greek yogurt which i like much better than regular yogurt and it has lots more protein. I do that instead of the shakes, which I dont like. YOu can add a small amount of powder to yogurt if you want and play with it so you get the protein powder but not the texture of it
  3. just a bit of knowledge i have gained-I also hate those protein drinks but i discovered greek yogurt which has lots more protein then regular yogurt. I never liked yogurt before but i mix this one with sugar free jelly or blend it with berries and bananas and I am reallly enjoying it while getting my protein in
  4. I also couldn't wait to sleep on my stomach. Now I have no problems sleeping in any position
  5. i'm not sure of that answer, i need to ask it myself, but i did find that greek yogurt has significantly more protein in it than regular yogurt so I am also hoping that i can do that instead of the shake-they are not my favorite!!
  6. I was banded on Monday and feel great. Had no nausea, no vomiting, just a pain on my left side when I walk (which I do for 10 minutes at a time a few times a day)which I was told was gas from surgery. My concern now is if I am eating correctly. I am using pureed foods but others seem to be on liquids alone longer than me
  7. I was banded on 8/18 and am confused by the diet I should be on 5-6 days post op. I was given a few different things to read and they are all a little different. Doctor has not returned my phone call over weekend to clarify if i am eating correctly. I am feeling great at this point!
