  12. I layer up. Got a fleece vest on most of time.
  13. I'm 3 months post op and crave spice. Raising the bar of heat from pre-op. Haven't had issues.
  14. I use Benefiber generic in 12 oz of liquid every day. No issues of needing stool softner nor Miralax now.
  15. Seen Dr and dietician for 3 month post op today. Dr said 800-1000, 1/2 cup meals could be lifetime. Some advance to 1 cup by 1 year.
  16. I take 100mg of Trazadone about 2 times a week for insomnia. No issues.
  17. I'm starting now at 3 months post-op.
  18. Ditto above. I took oxygen and muscle cramp meds every 4 hours for 4 days. Day 4 I didn't need anything ...and nothing from that point. Had an issue in bumping my belly, invision locations, against table for next few weeks. Lol. Fairly mild gas pains. Easy peezy. Patience.
  19. MyFitness app to track calories and nutrients. See how where and far you are off from daily carbs and fats.
  20. I wear a fleece vest as a layer, everywhere. Then bring a coat relative to weather, rain or cold. I bring a blanket to movie theater. Hate air conditioners. They made me cold before but worse now. After menopause I can tolerate cooler temps overall.
  21. I ghave two cats so had to hold a pillow day and night to protect tummy from their pounce. Recliner or bed. My son stayed with me three days after 2 nights in hospital. The fifth day I no longer took pain meds. Having your sippy cup, timer, liquids, protein drinks ready for the liquid diet. When getting groceries for puree stage fatigue hit. Get just a few groceries at a time due to low food input-low energy reserves. I was so shocked at the low level. Bonus was more chances of exercise, walking around store.
  22. I had to see a dietician for a year prior to surgery. Pandemic happened and elective surgeries cancelled. I keep going for over 2 years in case things opened up.
  23. I think we are super sensitive. Most are trying to be supportive. I was firm with a friend, one on one, and things are better. Communication is important and if you are uncomfortable it needs to be addressed, in a respectful manner, educating not scolding.
  24. Anesthesia also plays a part.
  25. I found cauliflower thins to form the crust of my pizza, added pizza sauce and turkey pepperoni topped with mozzarella. At 4 weeks I was puree. 8 weeks soft foods, scrambled eggs, meatloaf, mash potatoes, taco or italian flavored ground turkey with guacamole or marinara respectfully. Just chew well to applesauce texture before swallowing.
  26. Just read bad breath is a side effect of low carbs.
