I have so much sugar free jello its crazy! I had a rough day yesterday it was day three and i was starving.Thank goodness today i am back to feeling really full with the protein shakes. You are doing amazing!! It helps to have support and I will be right there with you. Thank you for responding. I haven't started to get anxious yet but I still have 11 days until my surgery so it will probably hit me next week. I think staying busy is best too. I am jumping on here and reading a lot of posts to keep me focused on the goal.

I agree i can't wait to go back to yoga on a regular basis. I have to stop of course for surgery and for a while after but yoga is amazing

I am amazed that i made it to day three of the pre op. I gave away most of the food in the house but today i saw some salami, cheese and ham i missed. I thriew it away really fast adn poured some water on it. This may seem small and silly but it made my day. I don't why today i have felt really hungry, i still have two protein shakes to go though and can broth. I have drank a ton of water. I am hoping this is the worst of the hunger days because day one and two i wasn't hungry at all.

Misery loves company. It sound like she is miserable with herself and she wants someone to be miserable with her while she controls them. I am so sorry you are going through this, i would tell my husband to tell her she has to move. I am sorry to sound harsh but she can go to a shelter until she can get housing. Don't give up and don't give in to her that is what she wants!

So far I am doing well. The protein shakes are so filling. I am supposed to have 4 a day but geez its tough. I haven't been hungry because they fill me up. I am making sure I get my water in and some broth. Last night I did wake up hungry so i had a couple bites of jello. How are you feeling?

Wow that is great news! I will be meeting with dietition at my surgeons office on the 22nd so I am going to ask them while I am there. I so hope my diabetes is under better control after this!

I started my pre op yesterday so far so good. The protein shakes are so filling. I am not going to be cooking or attending thanksgiving until after the dinner is finished, I know me and i will be so tempted to just have a bite and I am not risking it. As I get more adjusted to the liquids I will be better suited to be around all the goodies but for now....

I am on day 2 of my two week liquid pre op. I keep telling myself if I made through day one I can make through day two and on and on.... I am taking it one day at time. I am treating it like being in recovery from any other addiction, one day at a time. I am also praying my way through this whole process. Surgery is Nov 28th.

Yes, I noticed that too. I of course have to do the two week liquid pre op! LOL. I started today, so far so good. I am not sure I am thinking it might be up to the surgeon how long they want a patient to be on the liquids.

I am scheduled for the 28th.

I am wondering if i will have to continue on the Ozempic once weekly shot or if the oral diabetic meds will be suffiecient or if I might be able to get off all the meds and manage with diet. Diabetes is such a complicated disease. My brother died from complications of diabetes by not taking care of himself, I do not want the same fate!

I am a type II diabetic, one of the reasons for the surgery. Post surgery many people have vast improvement in blood sugar levels. I also have heard that people gain before they lose which is confusing to me. I am just following Dr recommendations and praying for positive outcome.

I have my surgery on November 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada. I start the liquid pre op on Monday Nov 14th. I just started getting all my shipments of protein shakes, protein drinks, stocked up on sugar free jello and popsicles. Cleaned out my refrigerator and gave all my meat etc that i had in the freezer to a friend. I am not leaving anything to chance LOL.. let my family know I won't be at thanksgiving this year to avoid temptation!

We are scheduled for the same day! I thought I was the only one that far out in the month. I started getting all my protiens shakes, jello, and popsicles today so I can start the preop on Monday 11-14. It is starting to get real now and I am a little nervous but not really bad as of yet.

You will not be alone on thanksgiving for sure. I start my two week liquid diet on 11-14 and will be on it on thanksgiving. I am scheduled 11-28, I think I might be the last one in November that is in this group. I haven't seen anyone posting the 28th or after. I wish you the best, please keep us posted!

I don't this condition but I have something called a torturous colon. I am confused about it though because they say it is congential. They found it on a recent colonoscopy, well I have had those before and was never told I had this torturous colon thing. I did talk to my bariatric surgeon and he did not seem concerned but I can relate to having some weird anatomy thing. I pray you find someone close to your home that can help.

Thank you for keeping us posted on these things. It helps to kind of know what to expect. I know everyone is different but just seeing some of the post op things to know may happen is helpful. I am so happy for you that your surgery is over and you are on the mend.

My surgery is 11-28, I am wondering if I am the last one in November? Just curious if anyone is around or after that time?

I start my 2 week liquid diet on 11-14. I am so glad to hear that it hasn't been as bad as imagined. I really think that I am also at the point of doing whatever I need to do, I am fed as well. I am so grateful to have found this site for support. It seems like the days are dragging to get my surgery date of 11-28.
