  1. I'm on mine, it suck more the longer your on it. Willpower. Don't cheat.
  2. Happy its going good for you. I just reached the point in my preop diet that i have to drink the special drink they provided and cut one of my snacks. I am struggling. Those of you on pure liquid preop are my new heros. 4 more days.
  3. It took 6 years for someone to realize the severe egg intolerance we thought I had was in fact my gallbladder. The pain was the very worst. I wanted to die. Get that sucker checked and removed asap.

  5. I love the fruity pepples! But i buy the premixed shakes from alani. They meet my requirements but i feel guilty each time lol.
  6. I have been reluctant to buy anything pre surgery, but i plan on stocking up for next winter and buying the better quality warmer things. I do have a comfy which is a giant blanket hoodie that is nice.
  7. Congrats! I am having the sleeve on the 8th so I am in the super nervous phase. I am southeast of you, I live with the grumpy old men lol.
  8. I am allowed 2 protein shakes, 2 small approved snacks, and a lean cuisine type dinner per day up to 5 days prior, then im cut to 1 snack.

  10. 11/28 is my birthday. Its a good day. My surgery is Nov. 8th. I am scared that even though i am following the prescribed diet, I must be doing it wrong and my liver wont shrink right.
  11. How is everyone handling their preop diets? I think my surgeon/ dietician are a lot more lenient than I was expecting. I get 2 protein shakes, 2 small snacks from an approved list, and 1 frozen dinner that meets guidelines. Then, on the 3rd I start special protein drinks they provided and I lose a snack..... I am ok until people eat their normal food around me, then i die inside a little and get hungry ?. No cheating though.
  12. Thats great! I had to have extra bloodwork done that was forgot so it happens. I'm sure insurance will approve.

  16. Welcome and congrats. It took me the full month to hear back from insurance and it was torture. I am sure you will be fine.
  17. You still around? I am having mine at Gunderson in La Crosse. I am getting the sleeve. How did it go for you?
  18. I considered that because indidnt want to put extra burden on the family and kids as we start the holidays, but i am so close to my out of pocket maximim for insurance that it would be half the cost to have it now.
