Several meds taken and surgery?
Your surgeon will let you know what meds to continue, what ones to discontinue, and which ones that you may need to hold off on until after surgery (or what ever). He should also let you know which meds may need to be changed to liquid form. So ask your surgeon to be sure. I hope that helps! :thumb:

Lots of spit ups; How about you?
If your problem is that the band is too tight, you should at the very least contact your doc. If you are having any problems that are troublesome to you, you should always ask your doctor. All the information I have read, always says that you should not drink carbinated drinks because it expands in the stomach and can stretch it. Good luck to you!

Somebody Please Respond Just a Few ?s
As far as statistics goes, that you find out from the surgeon who is performing your surgery. The surgeons success rate is far more important than that of the general FDA statistics. All you have to do is ask your surgeon what his/her success rate and mortality rate is. The surgeon is required to disclose that information upon request.

How do you lose?
I agree completely. Because without exercise you are more likely to lose muscle first, before losing any fat.

The Port
What is that all about? I don't remember reading anything about stomach gurgling! Could someone please tell me what that is all about? I am scheduled for surgery later this month. Is it painful? Or just imbarassing?

Fills
I think you are progressing just fine, well maybe more than fine. Because I have been told and heard that a good weight loss for the lap-band surgery is 2 pounds per week (8 pounds per month). You are averaging about 12 pounds per month. That is great!! Congrats:clap2:

Weakness after surgery?

January Bandsters???
I am scheduled for surgery on January 29th.:clap2: :clap2: I was originally going to have my surgery on December 15th, but I ended up having my gallbladder out on that date instead. Now I have to wait 6 weeks to be sure that I have healed completely. I am soo happy!!:bounce: I have been waiting for a long time, it has been a long process.

frozen dinners?
The idea of putting your entire meal in one container with the protein on the top and veggies on the bottom, so you have to "eat through the protein to get to the carbs" is a great idea!!

Dr. Singh from Albany Medical College??
Originally I had a doctor closer in my area, but after going through all the steps I found out they didn't accept my insurance. So I started researching on the internet and found his name and attended his seminar. I decided to have my surgery done by him and then started the process. And what a long process it has been. But it is worth it because I have a date now, January 29th.:clap2: :faint:

I am going to be going to see him on Thursday for my preop eval. Hopefully all goes well, and I will get my surgery date:clap2: . But any way, please let me know how you feel or what you know about Dr. Singh. Thank you!!

need specifics on Liver shrinking diet & Physician's weight loss center liquid diet
I've been looking for specific information on the Liver shrinking diet and the Physician's weight loss center liquid diet.:help: Like, what is it, what foods or drinks are used, what ever I need to know, etc. I used the Search and it brought up a list of different threads that gave mention to the two different diets, but nothing in detail. If it's no trouble, I ask that someone please give me the diets or at least a website where I might find the info. I'm at a loss. Thanks so much!
