Y’all I hit oneder land today! And my nsv for now is my ass is no longer so big a pup can sit on my hip between me and the car door while I drive and not fall through the hole. Side not pupper is ok and was only stuck in that hole for a second before I stopped and retrieved him and rearranged the seating for him lol!

I think the things you read may be referring to type 1 diabetes? For type 1, your body produces little to no insulin instead of too much. Because there's no insulin there to signal your body to take up the sugar, your body instead starts to breaks down muscle and fat for energy, which would lead to sudden, unexplained weight loss.
While type 1 is a remote possibility, it's a lot more likely your doctor is concerned about type 2. Type 1 used to be called juvenile onset diabetes because that's normally when it's discovered. It can also start in adults, but not very often. Type 2 used to be called adult onset, because that was historically when it would be seen. Now with obesity at epidemic proportions, even children sometimes get type 2.

I am losing weight pretty quick since surgery. Today is day 10 and I am down 17 lbs. That may be a lot of this. I started some foods yesterday so hopefully that will help. Going to go for an IV infusion tomorrow.

I understand what you are going through. My original surgery date was Aug 1st. I was on the table and they cancelled it because they were afraid of a med complication. They changed it to Sept. 8th and then right before changed it again to the 12th. I had to change meds and let the other ones out of my system. They were worried about C-diff. Even after my surgery, I was scared based on the things they told me. It was hard at the time, but I am glad it finally happened. Your situation is so unique. Kind of cool. I know it probably doesn't feel that way. I cried for a while after I got home. The pain meds didn't help. Everything is good now. I figure better safe than sorry. (((hugs)))

I use a Vitamin B12 patch and collagen patch each day and I am going to try the sleep Patches next. I just need to get on a schedule. I'm glad you are finding something that works for you.

How is everyone doing? This group got really quiet and I miss new stuff to read. Do you guys go to different groups that do more talking? I just hit my 1 month yesterday and had my appointment with my dietitian and all is going really well. I was sad at 1st because I thought I wasn't hitting my Protein goal every day and then he told me that the goal was lowered after surgery. So before surgery I was supposed to hit 75 to 90 but after surgery it is 60 to 80. So I have been hitting my protein every day yay! I also finally found something that helps with my Constipation and that is Monk Fruit sweetener. My daughter got me into drinking tea in the morning instead of coffee and I added the monk fruit to make it sweeter since I wasn't using my Protein Shake as Creamer like I was for my coffee. Apparently it acts as a laxative and now I get to have my tea and also don't have any stomach issues. Its soooo much better. All of my incisions are almost all healed. Just one is is taking its time. Pain wise I feel almost back to normal and my energy is doing great. I'm slowly increasing my exercise and I'm so proud of myself that I'm walking a mile every day. I know that's not a lot to most people but to me it was a huge 1st step. I've always hated exercise so even to be doing it every day is a good step for me but a mile was my 1st goal. Now to hit 2 miles a day Hope everyone is doing well and please come back and post so I have something to read lol!

I spoke with my nutritionist, and he looked over my tracking and was fine with it. I will say though I am not able to eat much today. I am glad I had him look it over because he did recommend one thing off topic.

I too get tired really quick, but I'm hopeful it will get better soon. I seem to feel a little more energy every time I go to a new diet stage? I just started soft foods today and am hoping that helps with the energy!

I had surgery on the 12th and towards the end of my second week I started to gain a few pounds. It is off again now. I think that are body was just healing and hydrating. I have heard about the dreaded 3 week stall from many, but I was still shook when it happened.

I still haven't vomited but I will have gerd like symptoms if i am not careful. I don't think I can eat 2 eggs regularly. I can pretty much eat anything now as long as it is soft, and I chew a lot. I am a little over four weeks.

My nutritionist was okay with it. I know most average about 5-600 calories now, but I can get up to 7-800. He said that the goal for me by month six is 1200. I don't know if that is going to be possible, but he wasn't too worried.

I am a little over 3 weeks out of the sleeve and I am worried that my serving sizes are two big. Should I be able to eat two over easy eggs this early without an issue? I am losing weight. I just don't want to make myself sick. I am in the soft food stage.

I just saw a video about this! The doctor explains that some people just have the 'tube' part of stomach bigger than others. Some have longer & wider ones. I attached a screenshot of a drawing he made showing how 2 different sleeves can look & why some can eat more than others

Some of the ladies with thyroid issues and PCOS have really struggled. Don't give up, it won't help. Give yourself time. At six months if you haven't lost more, I would be worried but maybe stop looking at the scale for a while. There are so many factors that can go in with weight. Hugs friend, I know this must feel defeating.

Now that I understand your time frame that is a bit odd. I am on week four of the sleeve, but I average about 600 calories a day, some days I get up to 800, but it is rare. I am losing slower now but I have lost every week, except second, I gained a few, then took it off and more. Make sure to track all of your food if you aren't already and show the doctors you are working with. I have heard of some others that have struggled as well.

I think you are fine. I hear from a lot of people that they are around 25-30 lbs lost by week six. You don't want to lose so fast that it is unhealthy, and you have extra skin. I was told that I wouldn't hit 1-1200 calories until month six. But even 1200 calories shouldn't be an issue if you are eating the right foods. I think sometimes people have this expectation that it is all going to fall off quickly. My doctor said you should lose 50-60 lbs the first six months. Breathe and just keep tracking your food and plugging away. I am four weeks out and I have never puked either. I even was able to eat a small amount of birthday cake. Give it time.

It is funny you say that because I am really struggling going to sleep. I am considering getting a sleep patch to try to get me back on schedule. I have been staying up until 4 am. I have never done that before.

That's awesome, thats how I think to
... everything in moderation, I was off burgers and greasy foods as well as little to no salt because 1 trying to loose weight before surgery, and 2 my mom has a bad stomach, as well as healthy conditions and can't eat alot of stuff and we usually eat together several times a week.... I think my biggest thing was it was real food, that I enjoyed (and was still pretty healthy) but I haven't had a bite of real food in 5 weeks between pre op diet and post op diet I am hoping I get a salad soon, I need to look up how long after surgery they say before I should be able to eat raw vegetables again...

My dad has suggested since it's something I'm craving now. To Pick a goal, weather it be a scale number, a time frame, a outfit to fit into.... and make that as my reward lol but I'm trying to make it to where food is no longer a reward, and more of just fuel
