  1. I actually called them after I scheduled and told them to call me if they had anyone cancel. She just laughed at me and told me she would IF it happened. Thankfully (and scarily) it did!
  2. Thank you so much for sharing your story.
  3. What had you mourning today? How are you feeling since your surgery?
  4. I just voted again. Your lead appears to be widening right now.
  5. Thank you. You said exactly what I needed to hear. This is a lifestyle change. Thanks so much.
  6. I am now officially September 25th. I was just moved up from October and I am freaking out! Congrats to all of you that have had your surgeries recently!
  7. My doctor has decided I have to leave October behind. I have been moved up to next week. I was mentally prepared for October. I am not ready for next week. OMG!
  8. My doctor's office called today. They are moving my surgery up to next week. (yay for me!) I know that this is a good thing, but they just snatched my last few days of free eating away from me. I am freaking out! I wasn't supposed to start my pre-op diet until Thursday. Don't get me wrong, I haven't been having a free-for-all, but I really liked being able to work my way to that. Now I have to start today! I don't know why I am freaking out, but I am. Help me out! Can somebody please give this sista a swift kick in the tail?!?!
  9. My Surgery was just moved from Oct. 2 to Sept. 25. OMG I am freaking out!
  10. I just thought I would pop in and say I am no longer a smashing pumkin. My surgery was just moved up to next week! OMG!
  11. It is losing enough weight to be under 200 pounds.
  12. I had my surgery about 4 years ago. I have a bump inside too. It really feels like another belly button growing. Or better yet, I have been taken over by body snatchers. That could explain the extra weight!
  13. I know! I am so scared of that happening! I figure once will be enough for me!
  14. Congrats to both of you. You are being reborn on my mom's birthday. I start my pre-op diet on that day so no cake for me. Thankfully, she is having oral surgery that day so no cake for her either. Anyway, good luck to both of you on your journey.
  15. Hi Choosie! I just wanted to say hi from Chattanooga! I saw from one of your other posts that you have family all around here. Good luck on your journey!
  16. Hi! I am in Chattanooga. I can wave at most of your family, and my mom's birthday is 9/18. I couldn't pass up on those coincidences.
  17. Hey, me too!:cursing: Way to go on your surgery date!
  18. LMAO:lol: I was wondering, what does restriction have to do with her phone?
  19. I don't think you have given yourself enough time to heal. It took me three weeks to feel completely back to normal after one of my laproscopic surgeries. Out of curiosity, what kind of surgeries did you have previously? I hope you feel better soon.
  20. Welcome to the forum! Good luck to you and MrMitch! :0)
  21. My pre-surgery class was basically going over all of the pre-op and post-op need to know things about being banded. It also went over the food stages and gave examples of each stage (everything that I had to hear from the nutritionist). They also discussed post op follow up appointments. I know each doctor is different so your information will be different. I hope this helps.
  22. Hi. I just wanted to say that sometimes, there won't be a response if they are not familiar with that particular situation. It's not because they aren't willing to help. I have found that anyone that knows, will answer. Anyway, welcome to the forum from another newbie.
  23. Thanks to both of you. I have been so scared of the upper GI. I had a barium swallow a couple of years back and they gave me this stuff that was as thick if not thicker than cooking oil. They didn't warn me, and I almost puked it right back up. The radiologist told me i wouldn't have been the first one. gross!
  24. So is mines! I swear it feels like I have two of them now! I had another laproscopic surgery and they cut at the bottom of my belly button. You can't even see that scar, but this one stands at attention! grrr:cursing:
