I was banded July 29th of this year and Ive been unable to get my fills for over 2 months now.Im holding my own but its hard being hungry all the time. Im hoping to get a fill this next week.! I had this insurance pay for the lap band on july 29th. I had my first fill yesterday and they have been waiting for a decision from the insurance company for over 2 weeks. So,in the meantime, I had to pay for the fill myself which was 250.00. I havn't gone so far as to call the insurance myself yet. Perhaps I should be as aggressive as I was with them before I got the procedure.

I did the same thing and did most of the follow up and running for the things I needed by myself....I guess if you want some things done you need to do them yourself, huh?

I wanted to let you know that I did not have to stay the night. It was an outpatient thing. I arrived at 9 am and if the surgeons hadn't been running late with other people..I would have been in and out in 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

I did get the ok from bc/bs illinois. My surg did the one year diet in the office i guess(anyway they told me they would take care of that part). I got my approval within 3 weeks. My bmi was at 43 but it had been to 38. I ahd my sugury July 29th,(they wanted to do it July 3rd but I was on vacation). From start to finish including past med records,psych dr,heart dr and all labs it took 5 weeks. Keep your chin up.

I am new to all of this and recently(July 29,08)had my lap band surg.I'm reading all the comments that I can and now I have myself concerned. My Dr.has me on liquids for the first 3 weeks. My concern is,can you stretch it out by drinking too much,too quickly? I can drink quite abit of water at a time.
