  1. Lellow, thank you for the upbeat and informative post and congrats on arriving at the "flatlands"!! Mimi
  2. Thanks for the info, Babygirl. Mimi
  3. Depends on your doctor and/or your insurance. My doc didn't, my insurance did require an overnight stay. Mimi
  4. Good golly, Ms Julie.ann, you sure have done well. Onederland shows how committed you are! Congratulations!!! Mimi
  5. Welcome to bandland. It is great that you are doing so well and best wishes for continued success. Mimi
  6. Hi, Ling, you are actually doing as to be expected, good for you getting up and out. Trust me, until you start getting restriction from fills you are going to be able to eat just about anything, so mourning the loss of food is a short lived feeling. Even after you get restriction you can eat what you want, can tolerate, just in controlled portions. My family celebrates Easter in a big food way and I intend to have bites of everything. I read here once that 2 bites are necessary...first bite for pleasure and 2nd bite to remember. Mimi
  7. Mine went in empty for the first 6 weeks. Mimi
  8. Lingling, I am so happy for you, welcome to bandland. I am looking forward to your postings as you recover. Mimi
  9. Wow, you are in a tough position, did your band doc say why you should wait? Since you are suffering with your skin condition it makes the decision even harder. I would be tempted to go forward with the surgery. Best wishes. Mimi
  10. My docs are as conservative as yours. Very frustrating, but you WILL get there. You have lost a lot of weight, congratulations. I had my 4th fill this AM, 0.5cc to equal 6.5cc and I now have major restriction, maybe too much. At the 6cc mark I started to feel the restriction, maybe you will too. I wish you the best during this tru Bandster Hell. Mimi
  11. Lellow, great and thoughtful post. Thank you and best wishes on a wonderful surgical outcome. Mimi
  12. Welcome, Luce!!! My port site pain lingered about 5 weeks. Mimi
  13. My first fill was 3cc and I got no restriction. My restriction didn't start til 6cc. Moo! Mimi
  14. Since you are having self image issues (as am I) I would be tempted to get the surgery sooner rarher than later. I hate my belly, it is holding me back from wearing smaller clothes. Mimi
  15. Suzanne, do the adult guumy's have a label name or are they Target brand? They sound interesting. Mimi
  16. Welcome to both LBT and Bandland. I look forward to reading your posts. Mimi
  17. Congratulations, Megsy. Your loss is huge for anybody, and your NSV (Non scale Victory) with the pretty dress is awesome. I am sure you will make it to goal. Mimi
  18. Those cocktail calories are sneaky because they don't fill you up. Congratulations on taking evasive action at the 2 pound gain and I know you will be successful at arriving at your B'day goal. Mimi
  19. I think it would be good for you to contact a PS and go in for a consult. This will give you a professional assessment of where you are now and where they can take you. I have an appt next week for the same kind of assessment even though I am nowhere near goal. It will be money well spent to ease my mind and have a realistic plan of care. Good luck. Mimi
  20. I like that magazine idea and making it into a monthly reminder is excellent reinforcement. Mimi
  21. Chicken is still giving me fits, too. I am about to stop trying to eat it. Mimi
  22. Joanie, thank you so much for the pictures. You and your PS did a wonderful job. I love your new haircut, too. Mimi
