  1. Ashley, you made me laugh about yawning because I yawn constantly while on my Treadmill!!! I, too, hate exercise, but I stick to the TM so I can eat a little more and still lose. The experts say find something you like to do. I can't find any exercise I like to do and hate sweating.....so I hired a personal trainer for a few weeks. The companionship is wonderful and might be the key. Can you find a work out buddy? Mimi
  2. Jay, go for it!!!! Everybody needs a goal and wearing a speedo is as good as any!!! Make sure you post pictures!!!! Your family history is terrible, congratulations on making the band decision!!! Mimi
  3. Yay, Slim, that is wonderful and inspiring!!! Mimi
  4. Andy, I was in a similar position and getting very sad and frustrated. I started keeping an honest food diary, nothing elaborate, and found that I was getting an EXTRA 800 calories a day in flavored Coffeemate. That was a huge discovery and as soon as I cut that out my weight started to drop again, albeit slowly. I also stopped guestimating my food and started to measure it for a while. This helped, too. Good luck on breaking the stalemate. Mimi
  5. In my thoughts and prayers, too, Girl. Get well soon. Mimi
  6. What confidence boosters NSV (Non scale victories) can be!!!! Mimi

  11. Thanks, MollyJo, for the encouragement. Everytime I try to rest for a few seconds the trainer won't let me, it is pretty comical. I, too, am a slacker,LOL!!! She gives homework assignments too!!!! Mimi
  12. Doggone scales just will not move. I am maxed out on exercise I am willing to do and have been on a low cal diet (1000cal) and don't need a fill. Just started with a personal trainer so am hopeful the scales will start moving soon.
  13. Cute picture, Mary. It will be wonderful to watch your progress. Best wishes. Mimi
  14. Lellow, I am sorry for your messy wakeup but glad your doc is OK with it. I hope it drains as long as it needs to so the doc won't have to drain it. Keep healing so we can have more pictures. Mimi
  15. Start by asking your band doc's nurses who they refer to and make an appt. That is how I did it and I went yesterday to meet and be assessed and find out the cost of different procedures so I can save up. I am nowhere near goal but needed to have a plan of action. I also asked my friends and hairdresser if they had any special knowledge. A lot of PS have their own websites now and show some of their work. Good luck and let us know. Mimi
