  1. I, too, thought it was a good episode. I was happy the girls pulled it off. Now, I think Lance should have been voted off, he is a lazy slug and Miggy was pulling percentages. I hope Lance gets gone next week. The girls are going to have to keep working very hard. I thought it was cute that the one guy on the girls' team let himself get a manicure to bond with the girls. Liftingchic, I hope you saw it before my spoiler comments!!!! Mimi
  2. What a story...I love happy stories. As you say every marriage has to be worked with and on!!!!! Mimi
  3. It is possible, but to have such strong stomach contractions that it forces lower contents into the upper pouch is very bad. Many ppl have prescription pills on hand to prevent such strong wretching...Phenergan or Zofran are typical. I hope you don't catch it!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  4. It will probably record OK, if not you can watch it online in a few days!! Mimi
  5. LOL, yep, I checked the DVR and it is all set to record!!! Mimi
  6. Gosh that would be wonderful if hubby would walk Kenya!!! No offence taken, I am single and looking, albeit not too hard, LOL!!!! My co-workers keep asking me what "his" name is or whether or not I have found a man, it is quite funny because to their way of thinking I couldn't possibly be doing this whole journey just for myself!!!! Nepal, huh? I sense a story there!!!! Mimi
  7. LMAO, you are a hoot!!!!! I agree, why would I want abs of steel at 59, especially if I have to work on it every day. Not like I am going to catch me a sweet young thing, LOL!!!!! Mimi
  8. Something isn't right....it almost sounds like they are charging you a program fee....which insurance will NOT cover. Is there another bariatric surgeon you could consult with? Mimi
  9. Best wishes for an easy solution. I will hope and pray that the problem is just the port and that they can leave your band alone!!!! Mimi
  10. Becci, except for Kenya making you crazy, you sound like you are doing really well!!!! I can just picture you jumping up and down then having a moment of "OMG-what have I done!!" This is a strange question, but will you ever have to do sit ups again in your life or did the stitches fix that forever? LOL, shoes and handbag!!!!! Mimi
  11. I recommend liquids or something light like soup. You don't want anything in your pouch when pressure is increased. Much better to have an empty pouch. Good luck, tell us how it goes. Mimi
  12. Allie, you look spectacular!!!! I reviewed your whole journey and it has been an amazing trip. You rock, girl!!!! Mimi
  13. Froggie, one of the things I didn't mention was exercise. Our metabolism's are shot so exercise is important. Start looking for a personal trainer that fits your personality....it will be money well spent. I have never had a plateau during my wt loss journey and I think it is because my personal trainer kept challenging me and changing things. Best wishes, Mimi
  14. Gosh, lellow, I don't like the sounds of this at all. I hope you get to the bottom of it soon before you are stick thin!!!!! Please keep posting. Mimi
  15. Jacksdad, I think you have found your sweet spot. You are doing really well!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  16. I am sorry you had such a rotten experience. At my practice if a person needs an unfill because of vomiting within a week there is no charge, after that there is a $500 office visit fee the same as if a fill was given. What a racket!!!!! Because of that I have put off getting an unfill. I will go in for a small unfill right before my TT in 2 weeks. Of course that will be $500 and when I get it put back a couple weeks later it will be another $500!!!! Crazy, huh? Mimi
  17. Elcee, congratulations, you have done so well and your BMI is so low!!!! Mimi
  18. I was 57 when I was banded and have no regrets. My BP is down, my joint pain is better, my cholesterol is down....all markers of the better health I was seeking. As a bonus, co-workers are teasing me about how "tiny" I am. ME-TINY!!!!!! Amazing. Because of the band I weigh less now than I did in 1970 when I joined the Army for my 20 year career!! Best wishes, Mimi
  19. Great NSV, I can hear you smiling all the way in SC!!!!! Mimi
  20. I have never read any post saying they could only have water to drink....pretty severe!!!! Good luck. Mimi
  21. Tracy, hang in there, you have done wonderfully and a small deviation will not ruin you for life. We all probably go through these periods and you will come out the other side. Taking it into the fresh air at 3 pounds is so much better than to wait for 30 to creep up before asking for help. I hope your fill will help but you are a strong woman to have stopped smoking and began this journey at the same time. You will pull out of it, keep posting. Mimi
  22. Becci, I will miss your posts. Have fun with family and I hope those little spots clear up quickly. Keep Kenya and Rough Jack off your tummy!!!!!! Mimi
  23. Do I think it can be done? Yes. Do I think it is a good idea? NO!!!! As Sawyer said, there will always be a reason to loosen your band, it is a slippery slope to start on. Others have done it and posted here that they were sorry they did it because of the mind games it started. Part of the band experience is learning that our lives are about more than food and eating and to focus our thoughts elsewhere. I do wish you a bon voyage. Let us know what you decided to do and how much you enjoyed the cruise. Mimi
  24. Hi, Kate, so good to hear from you. Sorry about the continued unemployment, that sucks. My figure is going to be like yours, I can already tell....I call it rectangular, LOL. I am glad you are doing good and getting your strength back!!!! I sure would like to see some updated arm pictures!!!! Mimi
