Pre-op diet beverage question

:confused:Ok, I started my pre-op diet yesterday and it says only water to drink. I wonder if it's ok to drink decaf tea with splenda? Of course my docs office is closed so I can't call them until tomorrow. Did anyone else's pre-op diet call for just water? I am dying for some iced tea.

Wow, that's a pretty severe diet! My pre-op diet is all liquids, but I can drink anything and have to get in 60 grams of protein and at least 300 calories a day.

Oh, I might have sounded confusing! I drink a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and then eat a low carb meal for dinner. It says to drink only water. I was wondering if I could have decaf tea with splenda.

Hi:

When I was on preop diet we could have sugar free liquids of any kind. That's when I had alot of diet peach snapple. Yumm! Good luck with your banding.
