  1. I agree with the other Posters. I love my immersion blender but it is no good for ice crushing. Mimi
  2. You look marvelous and the upper scar is almosr invisible now!!!! Ms Serra did a great job. I am glad Tobin didn't get you or anyone in your family. Thanks for posting the picture!!!! Your check up was fine? Mimi
  3. Man, that sucks!!!!!! I hope you get a different anesthetist next time and a clean bill of health from the ENT. Mimi
  4. I was never given the option....Needle access and fill both done lying down. Mimi
  5. Are you on the small side? That may be why the doc chose the small. Most docs choose the regular size because most of us have a thick fat pad over the belly/ribs and they want to make sure they can access the port center. I have lost most of my wt and will have a port revision to the smaller port so it doesn't stick out the way the bigger one does. Best wishes. Mimi
  6. Wow. that really sucks!!! I hope he can access your port next time. Bummer!! Mimi
  7. Congratulations!!!! Glad your day perked up!! Mimi
  8. No, you are not alone!!!! If I weigh myself and it hasn't gone down I am really upset, like you. It is close to an obsession. I comfort myself with the thought that I can skip a weigh in here and there!!!! Mimi
  9. Congratulations, Tam. You are amazing!!!! Mimi
  10. At the risk of getting trounced by other posters, I wonder if you are a little too filled. Maybe if you could eat a vegetable with the protein you would stay full longer? Seems like 2 hours from 1/2 a chicken breast is a good amount of time, really, because it is not that much food. I will be interested to see what other ppl post. Mimi
  11. I do better with french cut green beans, now that I am very tight. When I was not so tight I could do regular cut green beans. You may still have some swelling in addition to your restriction. Keep track of your sticks and PBs and if they are distressing you there is nothing wrong with going back for a small unfill. Mimi
  12. Sounds like a small fill and journaling your food and exercise might help. The good news is that as long as we have an intact band system we have the potential to lose weight. Best wishes, Mimi
  13. Thanks, Wanna. I hope you post about your jourey, too!!! Mimi
  14. LOL, rest well and sleep tight. Tomorrow is another day. Mimi
  15. I think it means that you have good restriction. It might ease off a little then you will know you need a fill, but for now you are doing great!!!! Congratulations, Mimi
  16. Well, duh!!!!!!! 5 miles and the dogs jumping onto your lap probably took its toll. Let us know how you do. Mimi
  17. I think Gloria hit the nail on the head....you probably had food in your pouch when you laid down and it refluxed up and caused your symptoms. Don't eat or drink within a couple of hours of bedtime. Best wishes, Mimi
  18. WOW, that is crazy....I would do everything the other posters said. Your doc is not acting in accordance with the standards of care....please let us know how it goes!!!! Mimi
  19. Karey, it sounds like you have coped quite well and are doing superbly and I give you much honor for doing well and continuing to lose wt!!!!! Mimi
  20. LOL!!!!! If a little bit works, maybe a lot works better? Mimi
  21. I am trying to do maintenance, but don't have a grip on how to manage it, so in reality I gain 2 lose 2, gain 3 lose 3. I am letting my scales guide my food choices. I never thought I would be an 8, let alone a 12. I thought maybe a 16!!!!! It has been wild for the last 15 months with many ups and downs. Ppl keep telling me how tiny I am yet I don't feel it. For my height (5')I really should lose another 10-15 pounds, but I don't think I could ever maintain the calorie count that low. I am thinking if my TT turns out well I will be happy at 130, approximately where I am now. I am not exercising like crazy or calorie restricting too strictly so I am hopeful I can maintain 127-132 range. LOL, gives me a chance for a chocolate binge every couple of weeks!!!! You have done so well coming down from 284, congratulations!!!!!! Mimi
  22. That is why this period is called "Badster Hell". I hope you gain a little comfort from knowing you are not alone. When you arrive at restriction (and that will be very soon, just 2.5 wks!!!!) you will fondly remember this day of pizza and cupcakes. I wish I had had pizza the last time I had an unfill because I am craving it mightily and just can't eat it. Have your pity party but know that restriction is coming. Best wishes, Mimi
  23. Clayverde....I like your PS's attitude. I am sorry I didn't have the TT first because I think it would have affected how he did my breasts, but it is a done deal. Best wishes, Mimi
  24. Hahahahaha, yes work is a 4 letter word. I just left a request with my boss to come back on a Friday instead of a manic Monday, just in case I don't do as well as you. This would make for 4.5wks off. I am not a slug and will be building my energy but like every job, I have to hit the floor moving fast giving it my all when I do go back. Kenya stew? I don't think so.....too gamey, LOL!!!! Good luck finding the right laces for your running shows!!! Mimi
  25. Thanks, Ellen. Your doctor's theory sounds plausible. Are you still losing or are you in maintenace? Mimi
