Recommended Posts

I got my fill about a week ago and I havent lost any weight. I get full easy ( half a chicken breast) I can eat anything also. My problem is Im starving in about 2 hours. I dont drink after my meals and I do eat the right things (most of the time) Should I call and schedule another fill?

At the risk of getting trounced by other posters, I wonder if you are a little too filled. Maybe if you could eat a vegetable with the Protein you would stay full longer? Seems like 2 hours from 1/2 a chicken breast is a good amount of time, really, because it is not that much food.< /p>

I will be interested to see what other ppl post.

Mimi

Is this ur 1st fill if so u may want 2 try n add veggies 2 ur meal 2 make u full longer n if that doesnt work then call the doc n schedule another fill. Ive heard it takes 3-4 fills or more for some people b4 they start eating less n have restriction. If I were u I would enjoy eating chicken while u can bc Im on fill num 3 n can barely eat chicken or beef. best wishes

My surgeon doesn't have us add veggies back right away, either. I wouldn't rush to add if it's contrary to the advice you've been given by the doctor.

My stomach capacity, too, is small. The amount I eat satisfies me. But stomach emptying occurs at almost the same rate it did preop; my doctor agreed I need another fill, earlier than previously scheduled. I will go in next week for fill #2, and then have another a couple of weeks later (if need be).

I agree with the rest here please try balancing your meals. Protein, veggies, few carbs. you make your meal. It is easy you know how much room you have to fill. Good luck this should help keep you satisfied.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
