  4. 2 eggs, 1 small/medium chocolate chip pancake with strawberries and whip cream. I ate almost both eggs and about half of the pancake. I did eat the fruit of the top because it was too delicious to waste.

  8. I went clothes shopping with a friend today. Normally I wear a 22 or 24. Today I actually squeezed into an 18 in 2 different brands. I didn’t buy them, I think I’m 10-20 pounds away from that…but the fact that I get them on and my friend said I looked good, meant the world to me. I even got a few 2x shirts instead of the 3x I normally wear. But with that being said, I also did get a few 3x, due to the cuts being different. I’m on cloud 9!
  9. I was given a prescription for lovenox when I left the hospital. I had to do one injection a day for 14 days. It was not that bad. Once I got over the idea of having to do it on my own, it wasn’t awful. Some days it stung for a minute or two, some days it was painless. I know I’d rather do that than end up with a blood clot.
  10. I am a month and 3 days out from my sleeve and this is my first post. Breakfast this morning. I don’t think I felt restriction, it just felt like I had enough.
  11. I have hummus on a slice of deli turkey or ham. I also like it on avocado slices. It is a nice, healthy snack or meal.
  12. I'm sorry that you weren't feeling well. The first week or 2 are the worst. Tomorrow will be a month from my surgery date and I am feeling great . The first 2 weeks were hard. i could barely take in 24 oz of water a day. I do get heartburn now which is strange to me because I have never in my life had heartburn before now. I get it a minimum of twice a day now. Luckily I am prescribed an acid reducer and that usually seems to help. Things are so much better now. I am still on the puree phase of the diet, which is a little infuriating when I am cooking for the family and cant have any and I am still struggling trying to get my fluids in as well. But I do get the importance of treating my healing body better and, like everyone, I am doing my best.
  13. Mine was through MVP Medicaid and at time of surgery the guidelines were, at least 1 pound lost, 3 months nutrition, 2 support groups, cardiologist, pulmonologist, psych, primary, gastroenterologist clearances and maybe more! It was an ordeal
  14. How far out from surgery are you? I really can’t even wait to eat that much lol. I can finally start purées Friday and I can’t wait to eat! I’m so hungry!
  15. It might be. I’ve read a lot of posts of people who’s surgery was delayed due to COVID. Have you contacted your surgeon’s office and let them know you tested positive?
  16. I’ll be on puréed food starting Friday. They say that can include ground chicken or Turkey as long as it’s cooked in some kind of sauce and chewed very well. I’m excited for that
  17. I am too! I thought I wouldn’t be, from everything I’ve read, but that’s not the case. I’m 12 days post op and cooking every night is killing me. On Friday I can finally do purées and it can’t come fast enough!!
  18. I’m only 11 days postop so I’m not sure
  19. Hummm…mine doesn’t really crunch. Many some kind of veggie? I’d say tortilla chips, but that’s not a healthy choice
  20. Salsa isn’t bad for you actually. It’s most fresh veggies and no preservatives. Very low fat and carb. My suggestion is to eat chicken with salsa. It is one of my favorite meals. I just partook chicken breast and then add in salsa and let it cook all the way through. It’s delicious and super healthy. I also use cauliflower rice as a bed for it and it soaks up that flavor so well. I’m still a bit away from solids, but it will probably be one of the first meals I make for myself.
