I have my Pre-Op appointment with Dr.Felts tomorrow. Then Friday is the big day. Have to be at the hspital at 10:30am Kinda starting to get nervous.

Hello all I am on day 5 of my liquid diet 800 cal. This is harder then I thought but I have not strayed from it I so wanted to run in churches and get me a 2 piece but I know that would defeat the purpose of what I want to achieve. I guess I just wanted to vent for a min. Question is anyone eles drinking the Atkins PreMixes Protein Shake.

My band date is Dec 18. I am so excited and ready to start this new chapter in my life.

Hey tallnthyckldy77 I'm being banded on the 18th too. I started the liquid diet yesterday this Atkins Pre-mixed shake is so nasty.:wink2: Its will power that is getting me thru this and the goal I want to achieve. tallnthyckldy77 where will you be having your surgery at.

Well I went thru Lap Band Solutions here in Dallas Texas, I did my weight lost supervision with them and went thru Dr. Grimm for my nutrionist visit. The hardest part was coming up with my weights for the last 2 years, because I didn't really go to the doctor much.Anything eles you want to know hit me up.

I am so happy that words cant explain. I am still waiting on the Lap Band Center to call me to give me my surgery day. I feel like this is a new beginning for me. I want to thank you all for giving me your words of encouragement and answering a lot of my question. Trust there are many more question to be answered LOL. Wow I taught Aetna was going to be trouble from the post I have been reading. I guess I gave them all the info they need the first time around, whatever it was I am so Happy. Hey all!!!!!! I know it has been a while since I last posted and a lot of you wanted me to keep you updated. Well to refresh some of your memory. I went to my first lap band seminar in Aug. I also had my first consultation 08-14-09 which went well since then I have had 2 more visits, everything is going well. I have one more vist 11-10-09 with the nutritionist and on 11-13-09 I have my last vist with the lapband center for my 90 day wieght lost program. They say I have been doing great. I got all my medical records for the last 3 years. After that they will be submitting to my insurance. I hope everything goes ok. I will keep you all posted on any other news. Oh I found out that my doctor would be Doctor Frank Felts. TTYL. JON:thumbup:

Hey All- Well today i had my consultation, everything went well. My EKG was normal I'm going to Quest tomorrow for my blood work. Well they contacted Aetna I have to be on a 90 day diet and see a nutritious. The only thing i am worried about is Aetna also want 2 years of my recorded weight showing my BMI over 40 well 2008 I have but I dont remember if i went to the doctor in 2007 so I hope I find it.:thumbup: I never had a PCP. All in all i am so excited. I am ready to for a change. I will keep you all posted my next appointment is 09-15-09.

Well last night I went to the free seminar at Lap Band Solutions Center here in Dallas. I felt that I was given a lot of information. One thing the center office kept talking about was the hoop the insurance company make you go through. Well I have Aetna's Aexcel Plus Choice POS II plan. Which covers the surgery but I have to meet certain stipulation so far they only told me about the 3 month doctor supervised diet. What else should I be expecting my Consultation is next Friday the 14th and I guess I want to be some what inform so I wont be surprised.:tongue2:

Thank you guys I been thinking about it and I am going in with the mind set that I want change I am tired of being unhealthy. Hi My name is Jon I am a 23yo blk male from dallas Texas I am 6'0 370 pounds I have tried to lose weight but every time I lose a pound or two I always gain it back and more. I have reading into the lap band surgery for about a year now, I feel that my health is getting bad and I am still a young man I cant walk 10 feet and my lower back starts hurting. I am going to the lap band solutions seminar next tuesday and I dont know what to expect I really want to look into having the surgery but I think its the whole operation that scares me. Can you tell how you felt about the operation and what things happen at the seminar I really want to lose the weight and I just want the support of other to know that I am doing the right thing.
