  1. I like Premier Protien. I am 1 1/2 years into my journey and I still drink 1 or 2 a day. I have in my fridge now chocolate, cookies and cream, Cafe latte, pumpkin pie, birthday cake, winter mint chocolate, and caramel. Since i keep a variety, i don't get tired of them. Makes it nice when you are busy and you can just grab one and go.
  2. October 5, 2022 was my surgery date. Forward one year and it has been wonderful. Got on the scale today and was at 198. So not only did I finally get to "onederland" but have lost 163lbs. My bmi is 28 opposed to 50+. I couldn't have done it without my bariatric team, friends and family cheering me along the way. I'm so thankful and even though I still want to lose about 25 lbs, I find it amazing with the tool of gastric sleeve, my life has changed so much.
  3. I am pleased with the sleeve. 10 months out and a loss of 152lbs. I have severe acid reflux prior to surgery and a gi bleed. Was on ppi for at least 7 years. After surgery, no reflux at all and off all meds for it.
  4. I have been on mounjaro now for about 5 weeks now. I'm 10 months out now and down 151lbs. Not sure how long I'll stay on it but also pre diabetic. Still not sure what I think about it, but decided to see if I could tell a difference. So far, not really.

    Regrets

I know it's summer but one thing i did was make my regular chili recipe. (I like rotel in mine). After simmering, I used my immersion blender and pureed it. Was yummy and helped that wanting for "real" food.

    9 month post op

Its been a little more than 9 months since I had gastric sleeve surgery and not a day goes by that I am pleased that I made this decision. I'm down 141lbs and feel great. To anyone thinking about if it's worth it, absolutely yes for me! I've got about 40 more lbs to go but I know I'll get there. I'm greatful that I have great support from my bariatric team, family, friends and my exercise girls at the gym... you all make this easier for me.
  9. The 115lbs is from starting my journey may 2022. I have lost about 65lbs since my surgery. I'm still going to question why doing anything more. Even though I still want to lose, I'm not in a race to do it. Thanks for the input.
  10. Had anyone's surgeon recommend also taking injections? I'm at my 6 month post op, 115lbs down and would like to lose about 60lbs. I was surprised when he mentioned this without any reserve at all. Just wondering if this is the new normal?
  11. Today is 6 months post op and I am down 115lbs. I'm so happy I made this decision and even though my mom had a stroke Feb 28th and I spent almost a month in the hospital with her, I had my protien drinks and ate just small amounts of whatever best choice I could make. Only lost 5lbs that month, but back to my normal routine.

    October 2022 surgery support

My surgery was Oct 5th, but I started my weight loss May 9th. Down 105lb but I still rely on a protein shake a day to get my protein in. I use either premier protein or fairlife, like them both. I have had a few stalls along the way but eventually a few pounds come off. Overall, so happy I had this done and wished I would've done it sooner.
  13. I agree with Old Salt. I wished I'd have done it years ago. Almost 4 months post op and the healing process was easy for me... no problems.
