Its been a little more than 9 months since I had gastric sleeve surgery and not a day goes by that I am pleased that I made this decision. I'm down 141lbs and feel great. To anyone thinking about if it's worth it, absolutely yes for me! I've got about 40 more lbs to go but I know I'll get there. I'm greatful that I have great support from my bariatric team, family, friends and my exercise girls at the gym... you all make this easier for me.

It may be similar but my dietician is ok with complex carbs, but the fats are restricted. I believe that Keto allows alot more fats.

Week 2 finally over and saw my dietician today. Woo hoo puried. We went to olive garden after for lunch and I asked them if they could puree my soup and the kitchen said yes. It was delicious.

I have to be on a liquid diet for two weeks post op and then I will start my vitamin chews. I'm day 11 now, so after I see my dietician. I'll start them and on to the puried diet.

I just had both done 10/5. I'm doing great. Gas pressure is gone and pain is minimal. Haven't had any pain meds since day 2

Congrats on your upcoming surgery. Mine was to be sept 27th but insurance delayed. It should either be Oct 4th or the 25th. I have an appt Thursday and hope to find out then.

I still continue to drink the sugar free drink mixes and have recently been having decaf tea. I have problems drinking just water too.

I'm so happy! I had my appointment with my surgeon today and finally got a surgery date... Sept 27th.

Congrats on your date. I see my surgeon in about 10 days and can't wait for my surgery date. I've been trying really hard to some weight off before that time and have lost 30lbs so far.

I have my last appointment with my dietitian July 11th. Then, I see my surgeon August 9th and hopefully get my September date then.
