You can use Baritastic to track your BM by going to Daily Notes, then click on Add New. You will see 3 options to track: hunger, happiness and bowel movements. There's a place for journaling there too.

One of the problems people face after surgery, especially early on, is the feeling that you have to deny yourself certain things that you've always enjoyed, when that isn't entirely true. If there was a favorite food you had, you can still have it - just a much smaller portion. Or look for an alternative like the previous poster described.
I've loved pizza my whole life. My wife and I would order a large pie and I'd eat half of it. I haven't tried pizza since my revision surgery, but after I was sleeved after a few months I would occasionally have ONE slice of pizza which would fill me up and make me feel like I wasn't depriving myself.
Sometimes I'd make cauliflower crust pizza which was pretty good once I got the hang of it. They now sell premade cauliflower crust pizza which can be very tasty if you get the right brand.
One of my absolute favorite meals that I made after my sleeve was the Eggface Ricotta Bake, it's super easy to prepare and tastes like lasagna. https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=1793517
In fact I think I inspired myself, I'm going to make it this weekend!

I had gastric bypass, Nov 1st. What i wish i knew was how bad and frequent the Constipation is, because of the high Protein. And the pain it causes in your chest if you eat one bite after the other. And spacing out your Vitamins. But i dont regret it, after surgery you look at food differently and everything you were taught with the dietician makes sense.

Hope you're feeling much better soon. Do you know about taking your pain meds on schedule, rather than waiting until it's awful? Once the pain gets ahead of you, it's much harder to control. Best of luck!

Good luck tomorrow to all our March 21's! I will be thinking about you all!
I had my Covid test today. My first one ever. I'm looking forward to "Transformation Tuesday" (that's what my surgeon calls it).

I am slowly advancing myself to the puree stage a day or so early. Yesterday, I had a sweet and spicy tuna packet - tolerated well. Then I got carried away and ate small bits of watermelon, apparently too fast. Because restriction hit and I was so uncomfortable. I couldn't eat another bite of anything for the rest of the night. I couldn't even handle Water. I am going to love this! I was so uncomfortable but I never want my pouch to expand beyond what it is now.
So I won't be doing that again. But I did go buy some real crab meat (I am craving crab legs like no other), imitation crab meat, salmon, perch, all stuff for ricotta bake, tuna packets, chicken salad packets (these packets are perfect for on the go). I'm so excited to eat today. I've also ordered Unjury pre-made Protein Shakes. They're tasty and convenient. 8oz serving size has 110 calories and 20g Protein.
How are you guys doing on your Vitamins? Have you started? I found a huge uptick in my overall energy and feeling when I started taking Iron again. I use a liquid supplement called Floradix, 10ml in the AM and 10ml before bed - taken with Vitamin C. Then taking my calcium chews throughout the bulk of the day - at least 2 hours apart from the iron. They've also sent me a powerful Multi-Vitamin and sublingual 500mg tabs of B12.

I am almost 8 months out from surgery. Went from 258 to 177.4. 80 pounds lost! I have about 25 pounds to get to a healthy weight, but now focusing on exercise so I can tone up and gain back some muscles!

Here is my before shot and after shot. My one year mark is this Friday, March 7th. I have lost over 100 pounds. I was a size 22, now I'm down to a size 2,3. I feel great. I work out almost every day and I thank God every day for this surgery.
