February 2022 Surgery Buddies
I do have a target weight of 190lbs I’m 5’5 I had started at 358lbs and am now at 258lbs I don’t know if my goal is reasonable but it’s just something to work towards and keep trying to get to it. Our bodies have been through a major change and we are not going to reach our goals overnight. We all have a lot that needs to change including tightening of loose skin which is also extra weight which takes longer to get rid of. Just don’t give up on your self and keep your eyes on your goal. It might take over a year to get that but it may not take that long. Just stay focused you got this we all do ?

Keep it up as long as you feel better that’s what matters. Everyone loses weight different I’ve just started slowing down losing weight now which it’s been 6 months since Feb 8 so I figured it would by now. I’m down 100lbs exact since surgery still got more to go but I’m feeling great and that’s what matters keep it up!!!

You look great! I had mine Feb 8 and am now down 90lbs 10 more to go for my big 100 lol but the loose skin is killing me I feel like nothing is tightening and it has me very self conscious. I got loose skin on my legs belly arms I hate it. I haven’t had any hair loss yet thankfully but the loose skin is killing me. I keep wanting to find a good wrap or something to hold my belly in because I just hate how it hangs. Anyone using some type of tummy shape wear and if so want to drop names or where u got them?!?!?!?

February 2022 Surgery Buddies
Hey everyone I had surgery 2/8 so I’m at 6 weeks post op I’m still only able to eat two small meals and I drink a protein shake to make up for the last meal and still no snacks. I am drinking atleast 5-7 water bottles a day so I’m also hitting my water take. It takes time soon enough you all will start to feel more and more normal atleast for your new stomach.

February 2022 Surgery Buddies
I did this so in the future me and my husband can have a child because of infertility issues from being over weight. My doctors said not to get pregnant for atleast 18-24 months because my body wouldn’t be able to support a child and myself with proper nutrition and would cause a high risk of complications during pregnancy.

Hey everyone I was wondering how long everyone had pain at the site where they took the part of your stomach out. I’m now 3 weeks out and still having very sharp pain. I still cannot bend down or anything. Just hoping it will feel better soon. The doctor said it’s normal but I just want others opinions.

February 2022 Surgery Buddies
My husband did this to me and made me feel like crap because of it. I still felt it was best for me and went through with it and I basically said this is what I want and I hope you can become supportive of my decisions. He has come around and is now very helpful and supportive. Express how much it means to you and that you hope they will become supportive good luck with your surgery!

For vitamins I use the Walmart childrens chewable and they work ok for me for calcium I use Caltrate plus vitamin d and I’ve had good luck with that the protein shakes I couldn’t do I ended up finding premier protein juice and I handle that pretty well or get unflavored protein powder and add it to something u can drink or add it to applesauce that’s what was recommended to me
