  1. I dealt with this for about 2 weeks now on and off. Mainly in my calf area and also swelled. I thought it could have been a blood clot so i went to the ER last week and they did a ultrasound as well from the top of my leg all the way down and no clot. they said either dehydration and or just your body going thru changes with the surgery. tho my surgery was only 1 month ago. I did buy this massager for my calves and love it. I feel better after using it.
  2. So you didnt take the vitamins as you should have and your kidneys got damaged?
  3. 2-3 weeks. Currently in a stall so wont be weighing myself for a few more weeks lol
  4. 24 hour liquid diet... Nah the worst part is some of us are on that for 2 weeks or even more lol. But yea like Ms. sss suggested. Take before pictures and measurements. I measured myself before i started the liquid diet around my chest, stomach, thigh, calf, waist. and i remeasure each month
  5. Holy crap. Thats the most i have seen so far for sleeve surgery.
  6. 2 weeks of liquid was a breeze??? LMAO if that was a breeze then this will be easy for you. I was not really hungry my first 2 weeks after surgery. I had to set alarms to remind me to get in my protein and water. Good luck!
  7. Had to look at your location. you are in Australia lol. Its like 5am over there. Here in my part of the USA its late. Good luck with surgery. Bring your phone charger, maybe a magazine or book and or headphones if you want to listen to music after surgery. (I listed to music up until i got to the operating room. Tho my operating room had loud music playing when i got in. They were partying
  8. I thought the same thing LMAO> i was like WTF so late...
  9. you will do great. I had the sleeve almost a month ago. was hard at first but now no big deal anymore.
  10. Yea mine came very early at 2 weeks. It sucked. lol
  11. Hi. What kind of surgery are you getting?
  12. No problem. Also remember you are reaching your 3rd week here soon. Most people stall out at that time or a little before where you wont loose any weight for a couple weeks or so. I am on week 4 and i havent lost any weight now for about 2 weeks. so dont get disgorged when that time comes. It will pass.
  13. Ok yea a bit cheaper. I am self pay. My sleeve was $18K and for bypass the self pay rate at my location would have been $23K
  14. i am on soft foods. and my goal according to my paperwork is to have at least 400-600 calories. typically at a time i can eat about 3-4oz of food but that takes me like an hour. You take a bite, chew chew chew. give it a bit, take another bite, chew chew chew, give it a bit and so on til you finish eating. each meal should take you around a half hour to eat
  15. Curious. how much is your procedure? I was self pay as well. Wonder what the cost difference is between a hospital stay and outpatient.
  16. ooof. I would never want to be released same day. That first day right after surgery was rough, very rough. I am glad i was in a hospital where i was monitored overnight. Also they give you fluids until you are discharged the next day which was great because drinking right after surgery first was not allowed for a few hours then you can only take tiny sips.
  17. New member, Only comment, no post... Only following this post... kinda odd...
  18. flavors... Torani syrups typically in the coffee section. They have a ton of flavors and on their website (Go for sugar free) Preserves as well seedless. also peanut butter powder goes great with the chocolate shakes. and Premier protein has tons of different flavor ready made shakes.
  19. lol we are all different. Tuna was my first meal on soft foods and it was awesome. No issues at all. I just make sure to chew very well. at least 20-30 times each bite.
  20. so i can only eat about 3-4 oz each time. at first it took me almost an hour to finish one pouch of tuna. Now 4 weeks out takes me about 20-30 minutes. I just take small bites, chew chew chew and wait a few minutes before taking another. I currently eat quail eggs instead of chicken eggs. they are smaller. Chicken egg takes me a while to eat and is basically 2 meals. I typically cook a small amount of turkey sausage, onions and 2 quail eggs. (which is what i am currently eating right now lol) (this pic was my meal from yesterday). This will take me about 45 minutes or so which sucks because it gets cold
  21. ive seen people on here say they got pregnant just weeks after surgery. you may be able to find those post if you type in pregnant in the search bar of the forum
  22. it depends. As long as you are not vomitting super hard it should be somewhat ok. I vomitted alot in the hospital. the first few times i had a little blood in it but the others were just clear. as for diarrhea. the main issue with that is causing dehydration. so you need to stay hydrated. maybe give your surgeons office a call and let them know and see what they recommend.
  23. I havent checked walmart yet. i have not gone down the bread isle since i had my surgery lol. I miss walmart being open 24/7. too many people during the day lol
  24. dang lol. So where i got my surgery you h ave to get a covid test 4 days prior at your pre anesthesia appointment. But because i had covid about a month and a half prior i was not required to since you get test positive for up to 3 months after. When i got the hospital for my surgery, IV put in, Medications given a nurse comes in and ask "Did you get your covid test" and i was like no. She was like we cant do the surgery. I was like BULLSHIZZZZ... and showed her my positive test from February and then she chilled and left lmao.
  25. a little odd but you are inflamed in the stomach right now. So that could be it. I didnt have this issue with my sleeve. They prescribed a different acid reflux medication for a month. But i found pain medication did nothing for me after surgery. usually the gas causes people the most problem in their chest but could be down there. but yea you need to keep getting your fluids and protein in as best way as possible. just take a sip and wait, sip and wait, sip and wait.
