    I'm 35, almost 36
    Ht: 5'5"
    Wt: 255
    BMI: 42.5

Ideally I want to get to 165lb which still puts me "overweight" with a BMI of 27.5
However, the thought of being 111-149lbs seems SO small. I probably haven't weighed that little since I was in Middle School.

Jessica1024 reacted to Tony B - NJ in Hydration and vitamin bar ? 🤔
The only thing I feel these hydration bars are good for is if you went out and got totally fall down drunk and have a meeting to attend the next day. I used it on a work convention I went to once. I got really hammered and had to present that afternoon. I had the IV fluids and I felt much better and was able to function very well. Outside of that, I don't see it.

I weigh myself in the exact same clothes I did for my first appointment. Now, they are too big so I stand on the scale naked and hold them. LOL

I Feel this way too. I’m starting to look at everything I eat and wonder if I will ever be able to eat it again. It is making me realize how much pleasure I truly associate with food. I need to find something else to fulfill that feeling
  9. Congrats!

June 2021 sleever here, just popping in to your thread to say good luck & share some motivation. This time next year you are very likely to be at your goal & feel like a million bucks! You can do this, it’s not half as bad as it seems. Best thing I ever did for myself, I only wish I did it sooner. You got this!! 🥳 It is worth it.

My surgeon told me he wants me off for 10 days. I’m gonna try and get about 14 days off. I am a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and work 12-14 hr shifts.

I only work 2 days a week… and we self schedule. So I just figured mine up last night ..If I miss 2 days of work (PTO days). I will have a total of 17 days off before I have to return. That’s doable 😊

I’m having surgery on a Wednesday and plan to return the following Monday. I can work from home if necessary, but I intend to be back in the office.
i will say that this is based on what my surgeon has said for my specific type of job, but also my experience with a previous abdominal surgery. I just have to remind myself that when I had my previous surgery I was 19 and now I’m double that.

FMLA is federal and it seems you met the criteria for working 12 months or 120 hours. Once approved you have up to 12 weeks you can use if memory serves. Please do Google it first tho and then go to work and ask them for FMLA paperwork to fill out so you have it to cover you in case you have any problems after your surgery. Its a good protection net for employees from employers that get pissy lol

I’m also an ICU nurse and also off for 10 days! I’m only missing 3 days total though due to how I lined it up.

I LOVE that you were able to do this! (I say this as someone who is trying to turn toward self care instead of food when problems arise.)
