Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from Blessd1 in January Surgery buddies
Another Jan 18th here! I wished it could be before the end of the year but the more I think about the timing the more I like the date. I can still enjoy holiday cooking and start my 2 week pre op diet just as I would have started a diet in any other year LOL. My birthday is a few days before surgery so I told my family we would Celebrate with a nice meal and small cake BEFORE I have to start the pre op diet. The surgery will be the perfect birthday present to myself!

Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from Mariann812 in Is my weight loss on track?
Are you taking anything to help with Constipation? I take Miralax and regular Colace daily. My surgeon said this was ok to do so. I had 2 bouts of constipation. Both happened when I didn't take my Miralax for two days in a row. I go #2 daily when I don't mess up with my regime.

Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from HashiHope121 in “Low” BMI Qualifiers?
You should call your insurance company and get clarification on what the requirements are. My insurance was 35 with at least one co-morbidity (I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in my pre op sleep study) or over 40 w/o any co-morbidities. At time of surgery my BMI was 41. A agree with a previous poster...check your height. I had always been 5-'5'" but turns out I was 5'-3.5". Since everything was virtual until time of surgery I just rounded down to 5'-3".

Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from Eagles8120 in VSG and constipation
Constipation is a huge concern of mine. I have had it twice since surgery (I am 6 weeks post op). I take Miralax once a day and regular Colace (stool softner) once a day. Both bouts of constipation occurred when I forgot to take the Miralax 2 days in a row. I have now set a reminder in my Baritastic app so I don't forget.

Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from Sunnyway in Help with nausea?
I agree with @lizonaplane...I was dehydrated just after surgery and was nauseous and lightheaded. I forced myself to drink my 64 oz per day or else they were going to send me for an IV. As soon as I started to get in my fluids, I felt MUCH better.

Yes...SF Jello does count as water...so do SF popsicles.

Flab-U-Less Forever got a reaction from KimA-GA in Fluid Intake
I have a hard time getting it in. I have a 32 oz bottle with 4 oz marks on the side (made myself but you can buy fancy ones). I have to get two bottles in a day. I am 6 weeks post op and have only missed my Water intake a few times (mostly the first few days post op). Pre surgery I could chug the water to get it in so now that I cannot do that, it makes it harder. Frequently, I have 24 oz plus to get in after 8 pm but manage to do so. It just has to be foremost in you thoughts.

I think you took Arabesque the wrong way. It didn't seem to me that she was trying to take away from your accomplishment (she actually said "congrats on hitting your target"). It looked like to me that she was just trying to provide some facts about the origin of the 10,000 steps that Fitbit has engrained in all of us. Getting in 10,000 two weeks after surgery is a GREAT accomplishment and that you did it twice in one week is even better! I am just shy of 3 mos and my goal is 8000 per day. Most days I get it but sometimes I don't. Good luck with your recovery!

I used Isopure unflavored powder and mixed it in Lipton Cup O Soup Cream of chicken flavor. Couldn't taste the Protein Powder and it tasted good.

Not creamy but I could not taste my Isopure in anything I put it in. I did not just add to Water and try that though. Mostly put in Soups.
