140g eye fillet steak, cup of salad made up of baby spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and crumbled feta cheese. Small baked potato. If I am honest I should have stopped after the steak but had some salad for fibre 😁 the sauce is knorrs bernaise sauce very naughty but yummy.

So having lost some weight, my skin under the neck is a bit saggy. I already have short neck, my side face makes it look more obvious.
Question is, will the skin snap back a little may be in months to a year?
How has your experience been, did you face skin snap back especially your neck area?

First of all, take a deep breath. This is incredibly hard work and you are doing a great job.
Statistically speaking, people who are obese and have been for a significant period of time, only have about a 5% success rate of losing the weight and keeping it off long term. The reality is, obesity is an incredibly hard thing to overcome, and for most of us, surgery is the tool we need to succeed. That, in addition to counseling to heal my relationship with food and my body, has been absolutely life changing.
It sounds like you have done your homework about medications, surgery, and other treatments. You've come to a soundly investigated decision based on what is best for YOU. You are doing the mental and emotional work to set yourself up for long term success and wellbeing.
As for those around you who are naysayers - they do not live in your mind or body and have no right to opine on either. Frankly, folks who have never lived through a life of obesity and disordered eating simply cannot understand it or truly empathize. My husband is the MOST supportive human on the planet and has been my biggest cheerleader through every diet, exercise program, and finally surgery. Truly, he is a gift to me. BUT, he is rail thin and always has been. He openly acknowledges that he cannot understand a life with obesity and because he can't, he has trusted me to make the right decisions for myself and supports me unconditionally without reservation or opinion. If the people in your life cannot see their own bias and acknowledge that they cannot support you without their own opinions clouding things, then maybe they should not be allowed the space to speak into your life. You can love them, but they don't deserve the right to give you their opinions.
Only you can decide what is right for you and it sounds like you already have. Trust that. You got this.

Aawwww big hugs, it gets better it really does. Just do what you can food wise to help me through these stages I had things like KFC mash and gravy, chocolate mousse kids yoghurts and stuff like that. Staying on soft foods longer isn't a bad thing if your tummy isn't ready for the next stage . I was at the 4 month mark before I could comfortably eat real food and I even had days where I couldnt. At this point you are eating such tiny amounts that having things slightly higher in calories isn't going to hurt your weight loss. I know a lot will disagree with that but it worked for me. The restriction lessens so take advantage of it while you can.

My Bike is still sitting at the side of the house with flat tyres and my gym membership application still stuck to the fridge and the cosy little winter nest I have made on the couch is getting more and more cosy BUT I have purchased a Kayak and have been out 3 times in 3 weeks the last time being for 2.5 hours

I didnt either but started to record measurements around the 4 month mark and I have noticed reducing numbers on the tape measure but not so much on the scales so it has been good to see that. Tape measures are cheap I encourage you to get one.

Surgery is scary! Even for those of us who've been under a few times, and it's especially harrowing when it's the first time. I'm a pretty tough customer, but when I went in for a knee reconstruction about 25 years ago, you betcha I cried on the gurney waiting to be wheeled into the theatre! I'd never felt so vulnerable in my life. But you are taken care of by a team of professionals who are all there to keep you safe and ease you through.
I'll agree with everyone else about the lap-band. The bypass sounds intimidating (I had planned on the sleeve and was talked out of it because I had pre-existing GERD), I had to sit back and consider logically how it was the best option for me. Now that I'm on the other side I'm so glad I got the bypass and I wish I'd done it sooner.
You've got some time, so take it slow, acclimate yourself to the idea, and focus on why you're doing it and the pros. And most of all remember you're not alone - this is a well-trodden path!

My user name is Mudh8r if you'd like to join me on this journey. I seem to do so much better at tracking and working out when I have friends that are doing the same. I hope to see you there so we can cheer each other on!

It feels completely rediculous putting this into words but its how I’m feeling.
im about a month post op and I have had a good experience overall. Nothing ive tried so far has made me sick, im losing pretty steadily.
but i have heavy restriction, i can eat like 1.5 oz
today was a really bad, hard day and i am just feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated with life and upset that i can’t have a meal. That i can’t find comfort in food.
this is the first time ive really come to terms with my food addiction. Im desperately wanting to just eat and my body wont tolerate it so i wont even try so its just making me feel sad and upset.
i know its stupid and crazy. I just needed to get it out 😞

I was the same weight for MONTHS (185pounds)… at about a year out I figured “okay, this is it. I’m stable and maintaining now”.
Recently they have me increasing my calories (I’ve managed to get up to 1500 calories a day which has been a difficult transition because I tend to eat foods that are lower in calories ) and then I dropped a Lot of pounds very quickly. I am now 174 (I hadn’t weighed myself in a while because I always hovered around 185) . My nutritionist about had a fit and wants me to do more regular check ins now. (Insert eye roll here). I just got Invisalign too so my tendency to snack (which is how I upped my calories) is now nonexistent because getting these Invisalign trays off are like wrestling a rabid animal 😅

anyways…. I know a lot of people have broken stalls by temporarily increasing their caloric intake. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You could increase your calories and see if that jump starts weight loss again

Totally unnecessary news, but last night I pooped y’all. 13 days, 2.4 lbs off the scale afterwards. Then i fell asleep afterwards from the effort. 🥹
Anyhoo, this morning i woke up STARVING (well for me) and fixed myself a rare before-noon meal.
I made bbq ribs for the fam last night (which I didn’t eat any of…see poop-sleep above), so I heated up some of the leftovers in a dinner roll with some BBQ Sauce. Oy my goodness, I make awesome ribs! Lololololzzz.
425 calories for the while slider, which i ate half of, so will update MFP to show 213 calories as Mr. ate the other half already.
