  1. Hi, when did you start taking bariatric supplements, and which brand is the best?
  2. By control do you mean it's terrifically difficult not to eat certain things?
  3. Anybody use Torance Bariatric Institute?
  4. I'm slated for September 13th. I'm nervous as hell. Torrance Bariatric.
  5. Interesting. Thanks, it reminds me that maybe I need more coping mechanism development before. I have this surgery.
  6. That sounds delicious, Sunnyway!
  7. That sounds delicious surgery or no!
  8. Thanks for all the comments so far!
  9. Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has tried this bariatric delivery service or if they have one specific to bariatric surgery patients only? https://www.baribox.org
  10. Have you checked out this bariatric delivery service? https://www.baribox.org. I'm going to do a separate post on it to see if there are any reviews.
  11. Also check out micro needling in conjunction with PRP. It really works and amazingly so.
  12. Platelet rich plasma. They draw your blood, put it in a centrifuge and inject concentrations of red blood cells in a site to accelerate the healing there. It uses your body's own super concentrated healing resources. Maybe search "platelet rich plasma" and you will find better descriptions.
  13. Maybe I am not in the right headspace for this surgery. I thought maybe since I'd be forced into it, I'd have to acclimate during the post-op diet. But now I am worried I will eat solids or just fail. Maybe this isn't for me. It sounds like most people start the liquid diet first. Thanks so much for all your replies.
  14. By instant change, I mean in urges to eat sugar.
  15. There is a bariatric food delivery service. They make it fresh at the time of order. Can this substitute for cooking? I abhor cooking for just myself.
  16. 100% on The Viviscal and PRP micro needling. If you were to do one thing to motivate the dormant follicles, PRP is what I would recommend. I've seen the results of both The Viviscal and PRP micro needling and they are staggering for the renewal of those dormant follicles.
  17. Did you find it a challenge to eat only liquids? I am worried that if there isn't some instant change I'll want solids to fill the void.
  18. I heard the cravings come back at about a year. Have you heard anything to this contrary?
  19. Thank-you for that. I was not so depressed, just regular amount depression, still mostly functional. When the "nail in the coffin" pounds came on I became more and more depressed. That coupled with attempts to lose weight and fit friends made me despondent. I think this will help, but I still reach out to food to soothe. Any thoughts on the abusing sugar piece?
  20. Wow. Thanks, Sunnyway! I appreciate the comprehensive list of books. I’ve got “Weight Loss Surgery Does Not Treat Food Addiction” in my Amazon cart. I will check out “The Success Habits of Weight Loss Surgery Patients”. I am really hoping it won’t say cooking for myself. I’m single and live alone. It looks like there are some bariatric food delivery services. Thank-you again.
  21. I am a food addict. I am also depressed. Is it a terrible idea for a sugar addict to receive gastric sleeve surgery? I have done OA before and am considering that as a good support group. Can any other food addicts share their experience with post-op recovery and missing the feeling they had from their food items of choice? I am seeking therapy help and support groups for this.
