  1. Checking in at 254. Down 9 lbs do far. 14 lbs more to go for the match challenge. I had been gaining for months before this. I just got back with the program on march 1. That's why I had such a big loss for the week.
  2. Karebare714/ Karen March 1 weight 263 March 30 goal weight = 240 I know this seems big. But I have gained over 60 lbs since may 2011. I'm back on the band wagon and following the rules again. I had been living on nothing but sweets. Good luck everyone!!
  3. Wow. We sound so similar! I can follow the rules all day and just seem to throw it all away about 7pm till 11pm. I am finishing up the first day of my 5 days. So far so good. Is there much of a difference in your restriction? Im hoping that lowering my intake of carbs and cutting down on my snacking will make a big difference.
  4. I am just starting the plan today. I had to build up the will power to do this. I am looking forward to losing a few ponds during this 5 days but that is not my goal here. I have been yo yoing for about a year. I get a slight fill and I can barely drink. I lose like 20lbs in a couple of weeks. Then I get a slight unfill and I can eat huge plate fulls. I gain like 20lbs in a couple of weeks. My fills and unfills are usually only about .5cc's. That should not be enough to make me go so far in each direction. I am hoping that maybe my pouch is just stretched and this plan will shrink it back to its original golf ball size. If so, then I plan to do this every few months to keep it from stretching. Wish me luck!
  5. I have fallen off the band wagon and read a lot of posts talking about the 5 day pouch test. Can someone give me the details of this? I need to get the sweets out of my system and back to not snacking all the time. Thank you!
  6. It was as though I wrote this post myself. I was banded Oct 2008. I lost a total of 135lbs and have now gained back 25-30lbs. I cant seem to stop eating sweets at night. I dont know what is wrong with me. I want this so bad but dont seem to have the self control anymore. I havent been on here for a while and thought I would look here for motivation instead of hitting up the DQ drive thru. Thanks for reminding me I'm not alone. Good luck!
  7. I work full time and have 8 yr old. I have a hard time working out as much as I should. The food part is easier. Protein shake in the morning, small lunch (1/2 sandwich or cheese and crackers) and small portion of a normal dinner. I don't get home from work and picking up my kid from after school care till after 6pm. Then cook dinner, baths and homework. I have a hard time working out 5 days a week. If I pushed myself harder I would make it but I'm tired. I have lost about 130lbs and have a prob with extra skin so I really need to push myself to workout more. Good luck and it will all fall into place.
  8. We just started trying to get pregnant about 6 weeks ago. I had my period at my normal time April 11 but it seemed a little light and only lasted 3 days. I didnt think anything about this at the time. I bought an ovulation kit with seven tests and it said to start taking them on day 11 of my cycle. My first test was negitive then the nest 3 have been positive. I read that you should only get 1 or 2 positives. I have been peeing alot and my breasts are so sore. I also read that if you are pregnant that it will show you ovulating all the time. If I get a 4th positive tomorrow I am going to buy a preg test. Im not due to start my period for two weeks so I dont want to waste the money if it wont show. Has anyone had experience with this?
  9. I have been banded for 2 1/2 years. I have been overfilled for close to a year now. I know, I know, I let it go on for way too long and it was dangerous. I was lucky and nothing went wrong. I was enjoying the great weightloss but started having problems with vimiting and dehydration. I had some fluid taken out and now can eat much more. My Dr told me that I would immediatly gain due to the dehydration and not to get discouraged. Its only been 4 days and I have gained 10 lbs. Im freaking out because I dont know how to eat now. I had got used to having a protein shake for breakfast and lunch because I couldnt eat untill the evening before. Now they dont fill me up and I need to eat solids. For dinner before I ate whatever I wanted because I could eat such a small amount. Now I can eat more so I know I have to eat healthier foods for dinner. Please give me suggestions for meals!! Thank you all!!!!
  10. I have the same exact problem. I am good all day without much effort then at night its a tug of war mentally. I have found that if I am going to watch TV at night then I have to also workout. I have a big workout ball (I dont remember what its real name is, LOL) and free hand weights. Instead of spending the commercial breaks going to the kitchen I spend them doing sit ups on the ball, lunges, running in place and stretches with the weights for the whole commercial break. This keeps me out of the kitchen. When the want for food becomes too strong I either eat a 90 cal fiber bar (very filling, Nothing else will go down for a couple of hours) or just go to bed. I hope this has helped some. Good luck
  11. I was 326lbs before surgery at 5'6" tall. My BMI was well over 50. I was worried that I was too overweight for the band but was scared to have the bypass. I have lost 130lbs and am still losing 2 1/2 yrs after being banded. It is slower with the band but much healthier. You can do this and you are not too big for the band. You may just have to find the right surgeon. Good luck!!!
  12. CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU ARE DOING AWESOME!!
  13. Congrats!!! I just entered ONEderland as well. Isn't it great. I wear 14's comfortably and 12's fasten but I also feel they are too tight to wear out in public. Enjoy this, you earned it!
  14. I just weighed at am in ONEderland for the first time in about 20 yrs!! I have always been very overweight. I wore a size 24/26 from Lane Bryant in 5th grade. I have never known what it is like to be a normal weight or wear clothes that were age appropriate for me. Before my PreOp diet I was 326lbs. The day of surgery I was 300lbs. I am now at 199lbs! I would still like to lose another 50lbs but dont know if that is out of reach. I have a fair amount of excess skin and dont have the finances to have cosmetic surgery. I am so thrilled to be out of the 200's! This was a milestone in my life that I never thought I would see. I am 29 yrs old, I wasted my teens and twenties being super obese. My 30's and on will be at a healthy weight. LapBand has saved my life! I feel like I could jump high enough to reach the clouds today!!
