  1. I am still having the pain also. I think it's better and then wham. Waves and waves of it. I walk and move as much as possible. Ready for that part to be gone.
  2. I am there with you. I am having a terrible time with constant sipping. I can't hardly do anything flavored and the thought of sipping more water repulses me. But I do not want to end up dehydrated.
  3. I am so glad she is feeling better. Looking forward to seeing/hearing about her journey.
  4. Thank you for replying. It really helps to hear how others are getting their liquids in.
  5. At Deena did you drink one cup at once or sip it? I can't getuch in with these baby sips
  6. Yes, I had/have the same thing. I woke up in the recovery room and that was the first thing I was saying. It has gotten better (I am on day three). My doctor says it's normal and will resolve in a few days.
  7. Any tricks to getting down this protein water?
  8. Update:had to stay one more night in the hospital for severe dehydration. Other than that it's not been too bad. Minimal pain. Mostly just from the gas trying to escape. Headed home now!
  9. Had surgery at 1 pm yesterday. Coming out of anethesisa, I had some pain and naseua But they quickly took care of that. As soon as I got to my room, They had me up and walking laps around the floor. Then walking laps at the end of every hour. Had some minor discomfort after walking so got some liquid Tylenol in my IV.Truth be told, the dry mouth has bothered me more than my belly This morning, I feel much better. Just experiencing some gas pains from the gas used to inflate my abdomen leaving my body. Right now I am attempting clear liquids. So far so good but I am taking it real slow. I did forgo the bed and have used the recliner in the room instead. The bed seemed to make my Naseau worse. The chair is also easier to get out of to do my walks. If all goes well, I will go home this afternoon.
  10. Today is the day! Headed to the hospital for my surgery. So nervous and excited.
  11. Good luck Jennifer! Can't wait to see and cheer you on in your journey.
  12. I haven't tried them as quesadillas. I find them a little thicker than a tortilla. But the southwest ones are excellent in taco or fajita casseroles.
  13. My doc is the same. I can have one very low calorie low protein shake a day, and only clear liquids. I am on day 9 and it is a struggle some days but I have lost 15lbs and my surgery is Thurs. Then one week of clear liquids and a protein water and one week of clear liquids and proteins shake. Can't wait to eat again!
  14. I am pre-surgery and have used Egg life wraps to make Lasagna. They work great.
  15. Mine is July 15 and I am getting anxious as well. I am just remembering why I am doing this and trying to focus on the positives, but sometimes I have moments of panic. Are you doing anything special to remain focused and calm?
  16. My surgery was moved up to July 15 and now I am excited but nervous.
