  1. 15 days post op, 22 pounds since I started 2 week pre-op diet, only about 15 since surgery. How's everyone else doing??
  2. I stopped feeling pain around day 9 or 10. 2 weeks out I was fine.
  3. Thank you for the support and advice. I think I just need to have extra snacks on hand that are on plan to avoid this in future.
  4. Two weeks post op. 12 lbs net loss ( I have 180 lbs to approach a healthy weight). Yesterday I ate a small bag of chips at work. It took about an hour. Later, I had small pieces of chocolate. Altogether, probably 400 calories over what I should eat. I feel like such a failure. I didn't have any pain stopping me... My hunger was out of control. I don't know how to deal with it... Advice?
  5. Hi all, I'm about 2 weeks post op and can't sleep. It take hours to fall asleep and I wake up constantly. Is this normal?? I'm averaging 4 hrs sleep daily.
  6. Thanks guys!
  7. Thanks everyone! My bruising and pain level is improved. I did call my surgeon to ask about the ibuprofen, and he wants me to keep using it. He's got me on the kids liquid kind. Maybe that's safer. I do remember my nutritionist saying stay away from NSAIDs, but surgeon says otherwise.
  8. Surgery on 4/29. Almost no more pain. Down a little over 10 pounds.
  9. My kids are between yours - 8 and 6, and they are both already showing signs of being overweight. We talk about my diabetes, and how they are both at risk for it. And then I told them about how I could possibly have a surgery that could help me run faster to chase them at the park and have more energy for playing. They both understood and were excited.
  10. I had my surgery on 4.29 and still have some pain. I think its from bruising, because I see a big bruise in the middle of my torso. Any recommendations? Ibuprofen doesn't work and I'm out of pain meds. Also, I'm able to get down 8 oz of fluid pretty easy, but see other people struggling with 2 oz. Am I stretching my sleeve already??
  11. I'm only 4 days post op, but I'm wanting food. Is this normal?
  12. My pain seems to be mid abdomen. Its really bad when I wake up after sleeping through a dose of pain medicine, but once I take it, its better for the most part. I'm thinking I don't have any CO2 pain either. It doesn't seem to be moving 24 hour post surgery
  13. Sleeve. I don't know if I'm having CO2 pain or not. I am feeling bubbles sometimes when walking around. Not sure what it is.
  14. I had surgery yesterday. I'm in pain, but I can't tell if its CO2 or not. Does CO2 feel like bubbles? Any experience someone wants to share?
  15. Thanks all! It went well!
  16. I'm in tomorrow for the sleeve. I'm not as scared as I was when I first started. I didn't know if I had the emotional fortitude to give up my best friend, food. Through the 2 week diet, watching my family eat their meals while eating soup, I found i wasn't going crazy. I wasn't even grieving. I am ready to change.
  17. Awesome! How goes weight loss?
  18. I do tomato soup with plain greek yogurt. It's about as salty as I can get.
  19. Maybe check with your regular GP? Or dietician. I'm diabetic as well, but haven't had any issues. Try to take it easy and push water.
  20. April 29th! I can't believe it!
  21. I've been on preop diet for 10 days - through my birthday AND wedding anniversary. Its honestly not too bad. 2 protein shake, a creamy soup and a greek yogurt. Sticking to about 800 calories and down 8 pounds. Surgery is in 5 days. Excited and nervous.
