About Me

About 11 years ago I started having serious gastrointestinal issues followed by stomach issues. I never felt well. Never was more than about 200 lb but sick everyday. Ended up having a colonoscopy and endoscopy and was diagnosed with gastroparesis and gastritis. The doctor asked me if I thought I was hypochondriac. I said I thought I had to be since they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. He said well your luck's just changed. People go their entire life without this diagnosis and we now know what's going on with you. Your stomach is paralyzed. It's not capable of processing food and so it sits in there and rots and makes you sick. After going through all the options the gastric sleeve was the option that seemed most likely to actually work for me and not just the doctors. So I thought this is good let's do it. Today is 4 weeks post-op. I was 207 day of surgery I am 188 today. I'm down 35 inches. But more important than any of that, I feel amazing. I haven't been sick a single day since surgery. I see a big difference in my skin looking healthier I think clearly and I'm just so grateful. The weight loss is wonderful I'm so grateful for that but if I didn't lose a single pound I'm so glad I just feel better and got my life back. My goal weight is 130 I'm 5'3.
