Hi! My surgery is on monday the 12th of july and I'm excited and scared at the same time. I keep thinking "I can stil cancell" and that's kinda reassuring...

They did a liver scan and my liver is a normal size so I don't have to do a pre-op diet. No Multivitamins either, not yet.

Did they tell you how many days you'll be at the hospital? And how many weeks will you be taking off work?

By the way, hi from Belgium!

Hi July peeps! My surgery is July 6th and I am on day 2 of the pre-op diet. Luckily I really like the Premier Protein drinks so I am not yet losing my mind lol. My doctor had me stop taking Vitamin D and any other OTC Vitamins I was taking on Monday. Oh and LeenBXL my doctor told me I would be in the hospital for one night as long as there are no complications.

July 13th surgery. I am having a revision from sleeve to bypass for GERD. I don't have to do a two week diet just a 3 day liquid one. I have my pre op visit tomorrow

My surgery is July 7th. Had my pre-op visit (blood draws) and Dexa scan today. I was also told to stop taking Multi Vitamins. I will get a shot in the hospital and then will resume taking them 2 weeks out.

Had my pre-op appt this morning along with the Dexa body scan - also did blood work. Fingers crossed everything is a go for next Wednesday the 7th! I'm the first procedure of the day so I have to check in at 5:30 am. It will all be worth it tho. I'm plugging along on my liver shrinking diet - lost 10 lbs the first week. Haven't been too hungry. All in all everything has been going pretty well.

Had sleeve surgery on April 10th. I am new to this forum and after just an hour of reading I’ve learned the answers to questions I had that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I’m grateful that some of you, even 18 months-2years post op still take the time to answer questions and engage. If anyone out there has had recent surgery and wants a support buddy to stay in touch with over the next few challenging months, I’m looking!

You look amazing. If your health is good, I wouldn't bother. Ask yourself....as a permenant lifelong commitment...What net benefit in your life would be brought by losing those 30 pounds? What amount of flexability will you have to give up?
I would stick to a healthy eating plan, and keep working out if you enjoy it. Maybe consult a trainer about strength training that targets the areas you'd like to refine.
If you MUST lose X number of pounds for X goal....be patient. Once you're at a certain point, you're gonna lose a LOT slower. Sometimes half a pound a week is a victory when you get small. Stay consistent. Part of losing weight to the tiny sizes and numbers...is restricting calories more and more.
There's a point where the flexability and livability a few more calories give you....outweighs the next size down.
    Make your lifetime habit sustainable.

My doctor said one night depending on how I did. Two nights max. I was home after one night-less than 24 hrs after surgery.

I only stayed one night. I had my surgery on a Thursday morning and I was discharged from the hospital on Friday afternoon. Keep in mind that it can depend on how you're doing. If you have any complications or problems, they might want to keep you in the hospital for longer.

I am on the 10th day of my liquid diet. I have to do 2 weeks. Surgery is Tuesday the 23rd. I am fed up with broths so I have moved onto orange Power Ade Zero. Mixed with my Protein Powder it tastes just like an orange creamsicle. The sugar free popsicles I have too but they taste tart to me.
Good luck on your journey. The smell of food will be overwhelming for you but then the thought of eating it will disgust you and then you will feel SO proud of yourself!! In 10 days I am down 23.6 pounds!!
