  13. Hi guys! I just have to ask this question, because the only thing I'm reading here is "I followed my plan 100% the first year", and other likewise statements. Does this mean that none of you ate a cookie the first year/during the weight loss stage?? I've been craving a chocolate chip cookie since the surgery and was looking forward to trying a bite once I can have solids. Does this make me crazy/abnormal?
  14. Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. My RNY was on the 12th of july so I'm 18 days out (or 2,5 weeks). I'm almost afraid to say it but everything has been going fine and I almost feel like a freak of nature reading these boards. I started eating purees after 10 days, as my program describes, and can easily eat a meal of 50gram fish/meat (1.7 ounces) + 30 gram mashed potatoes (1 ounce) + 50 gram apple sauce (also 1.7 ounces). These are my nutritionist's guidelines, but it feels like I'm eating a lot compared to fellow 2-weekers. Is anyone else feeling okay after sugery without complaints and eating just fine??

  18. Hi! I'm 5 days post-op and swallowing also hurts. It almost feels like it's my esophagus that's hurting. Yesterday was better, today the pain is a little bit worse. Ups and downs I guess...
  19. I don't have a problem with a whatsapp group of facebook messenger! My surgery was the 12th so we're all close in date.

  21. So 3 days post-op now. I have to inject myself with the anti-coaggulants for 10 days and I have to do the liquid diet for 10 days as well (so 1 more week to go!). One question... Is anyone else in the liquid stage hungry? I mean, I wouldn't be able to eat a normal meal, but I'm still hungry like I WOULD be able to... Anyone else? I can't wait to eat some solid (pureed) foods!

  23. My surgery was 2 days ago. Not in too much pain except for the gas-pain, which is to be expected. I'm leaving the hospital today, I've been poked enough with needles and hope to recover nicely on my couch with my cat [emoji4] Does anyone else have to give themselves anti-coaggulent injections at home?

  28. Hi! My surgery is on monday the 12th of july and I'm excited and scared at the same time. I keep thinking "I can stil cancell" and that's kinda reassuring... They did a liver scan and my liver is a normal size so I don't have to do a pre-op diet. No multivitamins either, not yet. Did they tell you how many days you'll be at the hospital? And how many weeks will you be taking off work? By the way, hi from Belgium!
