I am so very sorry for your loss! I pray the Lord’s comfort is with you and your family .

I am having gastric bypass surgery on July 28 and my extended family has been adamant that I should get the sleeve instead of the bypass. Seven of them group texted me last night about it. I felt like i was being attacked. They basically think that every horror story is going to happen to me. They act like I haven’t done an enormous amount of research on the subject (which i have of course) and don’t know the risks. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I’ve heard not to worry about weight loss for the first month or so after surgery as your body is still recovering from a major trauma.

I have a 2 weeks low carb diet before mine. A protein shake for breakfast and one for lunch and then some veggies and protein meet for dinner. I start it in a couple of weeks but have somewhat doing it now.

My surgery is scheduled for July 28! Four weeks from today!! I’m excited and nervous but mostly excited!! 😍
