Feeling more confident about my picture being taken at family functions, holidays, etc. I used to actually hide when the cameras came out because I feared of my pics being shown to everyone to see how big I was.
Not being embarrassed to eat in front of others. When I was bigger, I didn't like to eat in front of anyone because in my mind they were making fun of me for being so fat.

I eat Progresso Lite Soup almost every day. I only eat the chicken Pot Pie, and Meatball (I take out all the Pasta of the meatball one), then I add 1 entire small can of chickpeas (more Protein and fiber), 1/2 small can of cut green Beans, and 1/2 small can of sliced carrots. It makes the soup thicker, but also easy to digest as green beans, and carrots are the most easily digested veggies.
I make Greek style Turkey Meatballs (found the recipe online). It's just ground turkey meat (I use the white meat), with spinach, feta cheese, and a few other ingredients. I make a double recipe and freeze some. I put 6 in each container (I can only eat 2 for a meal). Sometimes I put some marina sauce on them, and other times I eat them plain.

Well my collarbone is all bone. My neck is what make me look older than I am. It is so hollow. My eyes are sunken in and really dark underneath. Sometimes it looks like I have a black eye. I have been trying so hard to eat a little bit more, even if its just one or two more bites. I also have been eating carbs, but nothing is working. I will call the nutritionist tomorrow to see what I should do.

There was no shortage of waitress/or waiters at this place. I know first hand about being a waitress as I was one for various places, including low and high end. She was just extremely rude to us for no reason. When I go out I always tip at least 20% and if they are extra nice I tip more. TY

I use the creams and wipes by Preparation H. They help a little bit, but the sitz baths help a lot. I prefer the Water to be as hot as I can tolerate it. My doc says that the warm/hot water helps to increase the blood flow to the colon because it naturally doesn't have any.

For the 1st 4-5 months I was having very loose stool and going to the bathroom like 6 times a day. Now I am almost 9 months out and am extremely constipated. My doc told me to take miralax every single day, and also 3 stool softeners at night before bed. I have been doing this for a week and although my poop is coming out, I still have to strain really hard. This has given me hemorrhoids, and I have to take at least 2 sitz baths a day. It is very painful. I tried to take Metamucil but it gave me massive cramps. I drink 1/2 gallon of Water a day, eat a lot of veggies, fruit, etc. but it doesn't do anything. Doc says its because of all the Protein and Vitamins with Iron. Hopefully it gets better. There are days where I can't even sit down because it hurts so bad.

No she didn't. I do the exact thing. I'm paying for a meal and i want it the way i can eat it. Why should she stay home? She wasn't the one with the bad attitude...... If anyone needed to stay home it was the server.

So for those of you who have been following my posts. My doc had told me to take Miralax every single day due to Constipation. When I was no longer constipated and now getting diarrhea every day, I called the office and they told me to cut down to every other day. Then when that wasn't working either, I called them again and they told me to keep taking it no matter what. So I had to make my own decision at that point and stopped taking it all together. It has been over a week now and I have been regular. I am not one to tell others not to listen to their docs, but I know my own body, and had to do what I thought was right for me at the time. Sometimes the docs are not always right.

Yes sharing is caring. LOL Hubby and I also did this before my surgery. This is something I am sure we will be doing again.

I just ate at Chick Fila today for the 1st time since my surgery 9 months ago. I asked the manager if the "grilled chicken was actually grilled" she told me yes and that they use a small amt. of canola oil. I asked if any butter was on it and they told me no. So I felt comfortable enough to order the grilled chicken nuggets which is basically a grilled chicken breast cut up. Then I had the fruit cup for the side. I was fine with it. It didn't make me feel sick, and I was full. So I was very happy. Now on to other places. Yay!

I go for a walk or a car ride with my dog.
I go to this website every day. Sometimes to comment but a lot of times I just like to read what others have to say.
I do crosswords. Watch YouTube videos. Listen to music. Read books.
Now that it is finally getting hot, I will be spending a lot of time in my parents pool. They only live 10 minutes away.
I love to organize, label, clean out closets, etc. My hubby doesn't like it when I do it because I am always getting rid of stuff. LOL
For 2 months I raked my entire yard and burned leaves. I have an acre of land and did it all myself. It was very hard work, but I loved it. It kept me busy, gave me exercise and now my yard looks awesome. Now I can to start decorating outside.

HealthyLifeStyle got a reaction from lizonaplane in Down 6 sizes!
I am in shock. I have gone from a size 20 jeans, to an 8, in only 7 months! I went from a 2x in shirts to a medium, or small, depending on the material, and brand.
I still see myself as chubby, because I have loose skin around my hips, and abdomen. I wonder what size I would be in, if I didn't have the extra skin?
I am looking fwd. to having some type of tuck, removal, etc. of my extra skin. I only have 5 months to go before I reach my 1 yr. The time is flying by.
I have never in my adult life, been this size. I was always the chubby/fat kid in school (always teased, and bullied). I yo-yo dieted most of my adult life, but would often give up if I wasn't losing quick enough. Only to gain the weight back, and then some.
It feels good, but weird at the same time to actually be this small. I have to learn to be kind to myself, and accept how I feel, and look now. It is not easy.

As you progress you will be able to eat more. And don’t worry, you won’t have stretched your tummy. It takes a lot of concentrated effort of eating large portions & over a long period of time to stretch your tummy. If you eat until you have had enough or until your restriction kicks in you’re fine.
As you’re male & taller, you’re dietary requirements will be a different from mine. Plus I’m in maintenance. I do snack several times a day but when I was losing I snacked on yoghurt or cheese initially then added fruit. I alternated eggs with rolled oats for breakfast. I love rolled oats. Lots of fibre, a good carb, & if you make it on milk you boost the Protein content. You could even add Protein Powder as well though I didn’t. I eat it with blueberries now - yum. I try to ensure everything I eat is of nutritional benefit to me & not empty calories. I eat multi/whole grains twice a day, fruit twice a day, vegetables 2 or three times, dairy 2 or 3 times, meat &/or seafood twice a day to reach 50-60g protein & eat <30g of fats (salad dressings are my weakness). Some serves are the recommended serving size but others are less it just depends.
Some people find they have no issues eating a wide range of foods but others discover their tummies just don’t tolerate certain things. I can’t do char grilled meats or vegetables, mashed potatoes, oily fish, fatty meats, breads, rice or Pasta. Some fruits make my restriction kick in early (like mango & apple skin 🙁). I don’t do Beans often because they give me terrible wind. Lentils are fine & I’m going to try some barley soon. I can eat lots of lettuce - it’s a slider food for me so my salad lunches are huge 😁. It’s a bit of trial & error to work out what you can tolerate especially in the first few months. Don’t give up though, you may be fine with something a few months on. Check with your dietician if you are unsure. Plus they should be able to give you a list of foods you could eat &/or a template diet plan to work from.
    Good luck.

I’ve eaten out about 4 times since surgery. Each time I told the waiter what I wanted, even if it wasn’t on the menu, and how to cook it. No one has told me no and I got exactly what I wanted.

Yesterday work hired a food truck (Mexican). I ordered 2 oz of shredded chicken, 2 tablespoon of pico, a pinch of shredded cheese, and tablespoon of guacamole. It was great!
