  1. Therapy couldn't hurt... Try it. If you know what you are doing wrong, then make the decision to do it right.
  2. True, the only pre-op diet I had was 24 hours of clears...
  3. My doctor has me on a week of clear liquids, then a week of full liquids, then a week of mushies, then a week of soft foods... I'm not sure I can make the week of clears...
  4. Absolutely! Thre is no reason that another doctor cannot take over your fills, even at another practice. You are responsible for your own health, and if you are not satisfied with the way you are treated, then take action. If your insurance helped pay for the proceedure, then I would complain also to your insurance company.
  5. I used to use Emergen-C also, and loved it. I wouldn't recommend messing with anything fizzy at all. My wife found Ultra Mega Nutrition Formula at GNC. They have formulas for men and women, and it gives you the multivitamin and the Emergen-C stuff, and lots of everything else in a chocolate-flavored drink!
  6. In my experiences with my wife, she always wants to take care of "her boys" first. It is difficult at times to spoil her as much as she deserves, so I say just enjoy it!
  7. I was just banded on July 3rd, and I have felt like I had to cough something up out of my lungs since I woke up in recovery. It hurt like hell to cough, but I just coughed up a grey glob that looked just like an oyster! Has anyone else been coughing up shellfish post-op?
  8. That's shameful that you have been treatd that way. I am in TN too, what town?
  9. I had chicken broth, crystal light, and jello... :tt2:
  10. My surgeron is having me do a week of clears, then a week of full liquids, then puree... I think that you need to do what feels right for your body.
  11. I know what you mean... The clear liquids for a week is pretty scary. I am just trying to disctract myself as best as I can. For me, a lot of the hunger issues are "boredom" hungers.
  12. Well, I finally did it. I got banded by Dr. Ponce in Chattanooga on the 3rd. It is still pretty painful. I haven't been able to lie flat since the surgery. The gas pains are just too painful. The liquid Lortab is pretty useless, but I only got Lortab 7.5 My wife got banded about a month ago, so I know I can getthrough this. She's my inspiration!
