    Sept. Samurai Surgery Check-in

I also have not been on for a while. I had my surgery 2 years ago on 9/18. I also am a slow loser, 41 lbs to date. This is much harder than I thought it would be, but what I lose stays off. I try to stay on the program but life gets in the way sometimes. I am trying to lose another 20 lbs this year. Slow and steady wins the race, right! Stick with it Samurai's we can do this.
  5. Hi TV,

It has been a long time since I e-mailed you. Slow day at school so I went onto Lapband .com. I see you are still having problems. Glad to see you have found a walking group. Me I am still at 30 lbs. lost. Not losing any 1 lb here or a lb there nothing major. I did not see my doctor from April when he was pretty nasty to me until September. Not sure if I want to go back and play with the band. I have not gained any that I have lost so that is a good thing, I went into surgery with the mindset that I would not gain the weight back and I have not. Maybe this year I will lose the next 15 and I will be very happy. I am on facebook alot send me a message, would love to hear how things are going. Jeannine

I have failed my band - SUPPORT GROUP

Hi this just might be the group I am looking for. I was banded in Sept. of 08. I have lost around 27 pounds I lost 11 in the first month after surgery. I have been struggling ever since. I just can't stay with the program. I currently have 7cc's in my 10cc band. In Oct. I had some taken out of the band because of slight refux. I was then able to eat almost anything. Gained 6 lbs beween Oct. & Dec. Went beck and had another fill which puts me at my current fill of 7cc's. I thought this would stop me but is has not. I joined a local gym,and have an appointment with a trainer next week to set me up with an exercise program. I try not to be disappointed with my weight loss because without the band I probably would be heavier than I am. It is very hard to stay positive when you go to support groups and people who have had surgery after you have lost a lot more than you. I cringe when it comes to my turn to tell all about my weight loss since surgery. I need help.

    Calling All September Samurai

:cursing:Does anyone seem to not be losing weight but losing inches. I am a very slow loser 27lbs in a year I try to remain positive BUT!!! You all are doing so well. I am fitting into a 16 and some 14's so that is a good thing. I just want the scale to move as well. I did weigh today and I am finally out of the 200's, 199 I am happy for that milestone. My body is just holding on for dear life.

    Calling All September Samurai

Hi as everyone else I have not posted in quite sometime, I guess life just gets in the way. My weight loss has been VERY SLOW, down 27 lbs. I try try to remain positive it is less than I would be without surgery. Size 14 not to bad. Keep up the good work.
  9. I have 6.5cc's in a 10 cc band. My last fill my DR filled me to 7cc OMG I had to much restriction went back and he cut me back to 6.5. I have restriction but I do not stay full for more than 1-2 hours. I have an appt. on Wednesday I think I will have 1/2 cc put in. I am hoping a small amount will put me at my sweet spot. I am a slow loser and this is very fustrating. I have lost around 30 lbs since Sept 08. I know it is better than gaining 30lbs, so I am trying to stay positive. :crying:
  10. Something I did when I was in that stage was add protein powder to yogurt, Sf pudding, I even added it to applesause. I still add protein powder to things 6 months out. Good luck

    Where is everyone from????

    Hi, Roanoke Va.
  12. I had surgery Sept 18th. Lost very well the first few months, then WHAM nothing November-May. I lost 5 lbs with the fill in March. Total weight loss so far 23lbs. I hope that with the warm weather I will be up and moving. I work in the school system so no more excuses after June 16th. I have lost inches and pant size so I am trying to stay postive. I was hoping to be at goal weight by now, only had to lose 60lbs. I am diabetic and my sugar is getting better. My last A1C was 8.8 from a 12. Normal is 6.5. So that is getting better. Trying to stay positive.

*New* Weight Watchers + Lap Band Group

I was banded in September, and have not lost anything since November. I joined WW 6 weeks ago, only lost .6, .4 things like that never anything more than a pound at one time.Last week I went in and lost 4.4lbs. I had a fill 2 weeks ago and I think I have reached my sweet spot because I am not able to eat much at one sitting, things get stuck very quickly. I am so excited to have the band finally working in my favor. I hope between WW and the band I will start to see the weight come off. I hope to lose 40 more pounds with a loss of 60 lbs total. My leader was very supportive when I told her about my surgery, she wanted to know how I had alot of success this past week. I explained how the band works and how it was not an easy thing to lose weight, so with the help of WW and my band I hope to be sucessful this time.
  14. It is comforting knowing there are people struggling just like me. I get so discuraged reading post about how much some people have lost. I was banded in Sept. Lost 20 pounds in 2 months and NOTHING SINCE. People at work have stopped saying how good I look, so I feel they know I am struggling. I did however join WW last Thursday. I think I have gained since joining, I am eating more on WW now, I go in for a weigh in Friday so I'll see. I think this area is where I need to post with the rest of us who are struggling. We need to remain positive (that is what I keep telling myself) spring is right around the conner and we are now able to get out and move our fannies.

  15. Hi I joined WW last Thursday. I also feel I need the weekly weigh ins. I was banded in Sept. and I am struggling. I lost 20 lbs in the first 2 months and have not lost anything since. I made it through the holidays without gaining, that made me happy. I don't feel I am eating too much just the wrong things. I eat soft foods (tuna, scambled eggs, yogurt) that goes through me really fast and I am hungry 1 hour later. I just do not know what to do.

I would love to hear back from you and tell how WW is working for you.
