  1. I started using weights about six weeks out, but lighter weights. Now at five months out the weights I use have gone up from 10 to 20 lbs, depending on what I am doing. Trying to keep things as firm as possible, and I found working out helps take off the lbs.

    Dark urine post-op

Mine is dark yellow like I m dehydrated, but I drink over 64 ounces every day.
  3. Thank you for sharing with us. We understand what you are going through. This is a tremendous place to get support nd device. Best of luck to you.
  4. I am almost 3 months out from my bypass and food tastes even worse now. Very few things taste good to me. It is a struggle.
  5. Thank you everybody for the comments. I think I am pushing myself to hard and need to pace myself. Next time I will approach it differently, and have my water and protein lose by so I can take periodic rest periods.

    Olympic Lifting at 300+ Pounds?

I lifted but nowhere near the Olympic level. I love it and used it to get in shape before and after my surgery.
  7. I took mine to the hospital also. And I use it faithfully every night. You have been reading some funky stuff.
  8. Same thing happened to me. I got two insulin shots. Also, I was using my CPAP and my oxygen dropped below 90 so they put me on oxygen. And my blood pressure went up. You will go back to normal. I think it is the shock of surgery on your body.

    Today's Rant: Bariatric Surgery Lies

I don’t hit the gym everyday, probably 4 times a week. But when I go I hit it hard.
  10. I love lifting weights and as soon as I am released to do more exercise plan on hitting them again. I had bypass Feb 2 so am walking and riding the bike right now but getting antsy.
  11. I start burping also. And I make myself stop and ask myself if I am really hungry.
  12. I have no limits on how much I can eat, but I get full pretty quick. Like 1/3 a soft boiled egg, 5 small bites of yoghurt. Things just don’t taste that good.
  13. Hahahaha. I can relate to being a Swamp Monster.

    February 2021 bypassers?

Feb 2 is my date. I am doing the pre-op diet and have lost 10 lbs. Talked to the anesthesiologist yesterday and have my COVID test lined up early on the 1st. I got some library books to keep me easy in the days afterward.
  15. I started my pre-op diet last Friday. I have lost 7 lbs so far, but most of it is probably water. The Dr. said I would be in the hospital for one or two days, depending on how I do. I bought a couple of sweatshirt material gowns to wear instead of hospital gowns. That will give me something to walk around in. I am scheduled for 7:45 but was told I might get bumped for anyone that needs surgery in an outpatient capacity. I hope that does not happen. It is all a waiting game at this point.
