  1. Hi Honey, I was banded on the 16. Hope things are going well with you. Congrats on your decision and good luck with your journey. Marvie
  2. noahsmomm, I am glad to hear that you are having second thoughts and apprehension about your surgery. I would be concerned if you didn't. Like anything to do with medicine you have to be told all the bad things that can happen even if the chance is miniscule. I was scared to death before mine and also had second thoughts. I am a week out now. Yes I did have a little incision pain, nothing that the pain medicine could not take care of. I had no shoulder pain at all which suprised me since I have had laparoscopy's before and know what shoulder pain feels like. I guess it is kinda like having a baby yes there is some pain with it and maybe some problems that go along with it, but it is definately worth it in the end. I am happy with my decision but remember it is your decision and you have to do what is right for you. By the way I lost 15 lbs this week. I know that will not continue, but it is definately a motivator. besides I am under 300 to me that is wonderful and a great start. Good luck with your decision and let us know how it goes. Marvie
  3. Amanda, I will take your advice and stay away from tomato. I tried low fat broccoli cheese Soup and diluted it with some chicken stock for dinner it was good. My husband of course asked if that was all I was eating.
  4. good to hear that you got some cream soup. I bet you never thought that cream soup would sound so good did you? Glad to hear that you are feeling better and things are going well.
  5. CHEMMAN9 Welcome I hope things are going well with you with you. I know I feel much better now than I did at day 3 or 4 every day a little better. Marvie
  6. Amanda, Congrats on the 12 pounds. I hope work is going well. I don't have to go back until the end of next week so have a little extra time to recuperate. I have 1.5 hour commute each way so it makes an 8 hour day even longer, I am glad to have the extra time.
  7. Thanks for the info. the day after I put that question up I haven't had any trouble getting my fluids in. I guess I am just a slow starter.
  8. my band was on monday also. I am feeling the best today. Still alittle pain at the incision. I was lucky and had no shoulder pain at all I was suprised, very hapily. I am on full liquids, but couldn't tolerate pudding yeasterday. Today had a protein shake and that was ok and carnation instat breakfast. Water is hard though. I feel like I am sipping and sipping and still get less than 40 in. any suggestions?
  9. I have pain on my right side still, banded on the 16th. My port site doesn't have much discomfort, just the initial incision site to the right. I am feeling much better today with getting water in that I need I had been having trouble until today. I haven't tried work yet. Luckily I had surgery on my foot in april so I am still out from that and don't have to. I will be a new woman when I get back to work.
  10. I was also banded on the 16 I gained 7 pounds, but am down 5 of that already. I still feel bloated though. My husband laughs at me when i take some short walks. I tell him it helps me feel better and he just laughs at the way I look while I walk
