  3. I only had to do 7 days, by the 5-7 days everything made me nauseous. I drank water and Gatorade. It will all be worth it.
  4. I use the Baritastic app and it's amazing. It tracks everything and even sends you notification reminders to take your vitamins. Every possible food is in the database also. I was previously using MyMacros app and it just didn't track everything I needed to track post op.
  5. No, the air went away in a matter of minutes but it was a very painful few minutes. My problem is, I'm just not thirsty lol, I don't mind the taste of water at all. I just never drank much before and I'm not drinking much after. A bad habit I'm really trying to work on. If Mio or something might work for you, you could always just use as little as possible and alternate between plain water and flavored? Also, straws may work fine for you.

  7. I spoke too soon on the straws. I was fine for about 3 days but then I sucked up some air and the pain that immediately hit my stomach was unforgettable. So I'm over it. I'm still struggling to even get 40 oz of liquids but I'm trying.

  14. YES! I lost 10 on my 1 week pre op, 10 1 week post op and then nothing for 2 weeks. Having a stall so early on got me down. Increasing my water intake is what broke it IMO. And I'm a straw addict as well lol! Hang in there, it will pass.
  15. I hit 199 lbs, it was so exciting seeing that number on the scale this morning. I'm also 4 weeks post op so hitting that milestone today was perfect! I'm down 25lbs even though I endured a 2 week stall already (ugh!). Those stalls are disheartening. My struggles are still getting my fluids in so I started using my (reusable) straws 2 days ago and that is helping. I don't have any additional "air bubbles" gurgling up than I did before the straws. I also struggle with eating too quickly and getting sick bc it gets stuck. I want to do 3 meals and 2 snacks but I realistically can't do that right now with my daily schedule. I have to do about 2 oz of food at a time (or less) more frequently to get it all in and to keep my stomach happy. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired so my esophagus is healing as well.

  17. No one knows about my surgery except my husband. I had to have a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time for GERD so that is the surgery my family and close friends know about. I have no interest in dealing with people.
  18. Avocado with a dash of tahin and everything bagel, yogurt with berries, oatmeal with berries, cottage cheese with a dash of balsamic vinegerette, spoonful of fresh ground peanut butter, 1/2 protein shake...depends on the day and how much time I have. I left off all my egg options lol
  19. 1 week clear liquids, 1 week liquids, 2 weeks soft foods, now I'm almost 4 weeks and I'm about to start introducing what I feel like. No red meat for 6 months, no alcohol for 6 months, no raw vegetables for 3 months.
  20. I'm over here amazed you are getting 90 oz of water in. I struggle to get 40 oz!!! (Goal is 64 oz)
  21. Well increasing my water worked. I got on the scales this morning and finally lost 2lbs. My water increase isn't much, I'm still struggling and will continue to work on it.
  22. Girl, I started the morning of my surgery on 11/30. I was like WTF. It was not a fun 48 hours. Nurses don't get paid enough [emoji23]
  23. I had GERD before my sleeve and my dr fixed a hiatal hernia (Nissen) at the same time as my sleeve. I have small bubbles coming up and I'm on my reflux meds for a couple more months until I'm healed, but no more belching. Previously, I could belch anyone to shame it was so bad. You could simply try OTC pepcid if you don't want go to the dr right away. If that offers a little relief you might consider going in for an RX, GERD is not fun.
  24. Yes, I have a fear of eating too few calories. The carbs on the other hand, I would like to keep on the low end per my plan. Thank you for the kind words.
  25. Yes!! I didn't realize how little I drank until I started tracking it. It's probably been a problem for a long time. I will make this a short term goal and focus on my water not my weight loss.
