  1. Hello  I am three weeks post-op and my post-op eating plan allows for soft foods starting this past week. I got stuck on a small piece of poached egg..OUCH!! I also got stuck on a piece of chicken breast tonight, not pleasant. I have not yet had a fill  Could it be swelling still? I go back on liquids for a day after i get stuck cause I am scared to eat again. Anyone else??
  2. I started spotting a few days after surgery  I was due for my period last Friday and I thought maybe it wasn't coming, but it arrived today very unhappy I am crampy and can't take advil.. I hope when this is done the spotting stops too.. My periods always get weird when I lose weight.. You are not alone
  3. I have lost 22 lbs since pre-op (i lost the other 9 prior to that)
  4. I was desperate one day and took a flatbread cracker, chewed it up and spit it out
  5. I have no restriction on coffee :biggrin2:
  6. My port is right underneath my main incision I would love to cover it up too, but I plan to get a TT when the time comes and all that skin will be gone :mad2:
  7. I'm assuming that it would not be a good idea to get a tattoo over your port area. When I had my twins my OB told me that if I had a tattoo on my back, the spinal becomes a problem because the needle carries some ink in with it. Not sure if this affects just the spinal column or any injection site?? I want to get more ink done when some of this weight is gone
  8. I am 1 week out after lap band and hernia repair. It's not too bad, but today was my first day without pain meds. I went back to work on day 4 which I probably shouldn't have. Good luck with your surgery!
  9. I was banded on Thursday and have that same feeling. But I can't burp  I was a champion burper before and I WISH I could get some of the gas out now...
  10. I was banded 7/10 and had diarrhea start today If it keeps up i will call the dr, but I was sort of expecting this
  11. I was banded yesterday and the apple juice this morning was absolutely heavenly!

  13. Hi E.L. :tt1: Waving from across the pond...lol I will try the supercentre.. I work in Newmarket so I may look there as well. Are you driving to Mississauga for fills?
  14. Hi there; I am getting my band on July 10 and would like to know if there are any local support groups, forums etc. Thanks
  15. I have been on a high Protein, low carb diet for about 10 days and yesterday I ate too many veggies at lunch and now I am starving! The first few days are the worst as your body gets off sugar, but the hunger will stop. I am allowed SF yogurt, Cottage cheese, lean chicken, tuna, egg, and green leafy veggies...
  16. Thank you Marilyn
  17. I am to be banded next week at TLBC. I had my pre-op blood and EKG done, but they didn't order a chest x-ray. Should I call them or do they not do them anymore? Thanks
  18. I had a c-section with my twins in 2004. I am due to be banded next Thursday, so I'll get my answer then I had an easier time with my c-section than I did with my IVF egg retrieval.
  19. I asked about this at my consultation appointment. I could do it myself, but I will have one of my co-workers do it instead.
  20. July 10 is my band date, so excited!
