    I was sleeved 8/19 by Dr. Schirmer! I feel like the experience was different than many people on here (no true psych eval, no pre-diet, pre-weight loss; just one appt before the surgery to go over risks, meet with a nutritionist, and sign papers) but overall I've enjoyed the experience post-op. I will say I wish there was more aftercare. There's a 1 month and 3-month check-in but no long term followup plan like those who go to a non-hospital affiliated clinic

    Typing on my phone but if there's more you want to know in detail I can explain further!

    No responses really required but I have fallen off really hard (eating the wrong things, bigger portion sizes, etc), so I'm using this post as a means to put out in the universe to get myself back on track! Might need to do a soft reset to get back in the habit. Mind over matter people!!

    Late lunch: 4 Beef & Pork meatballs w/ mushroom gravy over shiratake noodles: 225 calories for whole thing.
    UNBELIEVABLY filling. Ate about 1/2...will take another crack at it in a couple hours.

    So glad I found this thread! I've been eating the same meal for like a week since I could go to regular foods and I was about to lose my mind

    I was in a stall for 4 weeks. I ended up taking in more Protein that seemed to help. The scale drove me crazy, pics are your best friend. Stay positive the changes will happen.

    If you are eating low carb/low sugar/high Protein food, then I would put it down to the dreaded stall. My first stall lasted close to a month... when it was over - I started losing 4-5 lbs a week for three weeks, but then hit a stall again.. From what I understand, a lot of people have multiple stalls along the way.
    But, I would suggest being more mindful of calories - they can add up, especially with things like cooking oils. Using cooking sprays can help alleviate that.
    Try not to stress out about and trust the process.

    Although I have a pretty substantial reserve of this bread I'm still rationing 😂
    Joking. I have been doing this since the I started buying this bread. It's too thick for me to eat 2 slices in a sandwich so I only use 1, here's how:
    Lightly toast both sides then cut with a sharp serrated knife
    * I also added log into (which I never do anymore) to show what a zero *net* carb & 150 cal Breakfast sandwich looks like

    So after going through this whole thread the biggest takeaway is to plan a trip to Aldi's 😂
    Also, has anyone found a healthy alternative to flamin hot cheetos/any other spicy chips? Those were my guilty pleasure pre-WLS but they are sooo bad for you but I miss the heat lol

    I don't know that it'll have quite the same heat kick as Flamin Hot Cheetos, but there are some Jalapeno Cheddar Protein Puffs out there: https://www.amazon.com/Allergy-Friendly-Protein-Jalapeno-Cheddar/dp/B078YF26BT/
    Plus there was a recipe posted for homemade "Fritos" chips using chickpea Pasta got posted. Could do it up with your own spice blend for seasoning to get the heat going!

    *My husband swears by Don Poncho crema, it’s only 40 calories for 2 tablespoons. I don’t like creamy stuff, he uses it instead of cheese on his tacos. He also uses it instead of mayo on a lot of stuff.

    [I quoted so that I could see more pictures of the Ricotta Bake]
    Since I have a tendency to be brutally honest, I don't see any point in changing now. cheese being a source of pleasure in my life, I am sometimes overly critical about cheese products. I'm sorry if I step on any toes here.
    I must admit that I am a cheese freak. CHEESE FREAK. I'm one of those people that can eat ricotta out of the container. I like all sorts of cheese from the most flavorless American cheese to the Limburgers that peel paint off the walls. Don't get between me and anything cheese.
    Now for the cold, hard truth:
    1) The size of this 'Ricotta Bake' is unacceptable for WLS patients. I'm willing to take the hit for the team, so just send it off to me. Give, give, give, that's me.
    2) I assume there is a recipe around here somewhere? And I bet you expect me, of all people, to go looking for it? No, I say. No. This will not stand. If I were to go find the recipe, how will you learn?
    3) It's hard to tell but exactly how many layers of cheesy goodness are there? This is important;
    4) Portion size. Really, this must be considered. There is no possible way that this pan represents a single serving of cheesy goodness. It must require, 3... no 4 pans of this size to arrive at a single portion. You really need to think ahead on this sort of thing. This looks like something that is worth eating until I am sick. Shame on you!
    5) It looks overcooked in the top picture, and undercooked in the bottom. Being the caring, sensitive person that I am, I simply cannot allow you to consume such substandard product. You need to gently pack it up, and send it to "The Greater Fool Laboratories" and my team will figure out what went wrong. Of course, to do it right we may need several samples a week for the foreseeable future. We're willing to put in the work to see this through, no matter how long it takes;
    6) To help defray your shipping expenses, TGF Laboratories will help with some of the shipping expenses. We are committed to helping you get this done right.
    As I said before, give, give, give, that what I'm about.

    Made this Keto chicken Pizza Crust this AM (making regular pizza for the fam later and I wanna join in on the fun).
    It smells DELICIOUS: 350g shredded chicken breast, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, 2 eggs & seasonings. Baked at 400 for 20 mins.
    85 calories & .05g NET carbs per serving (1 serving == 1/8 of the entire thing), plus whatever toppings you add...
    Will post pics of the final product later...sooo excited!

    Belle & Evans roasted chicken thighs tossed in orange vinaigrette with chili flakes + mixed cauliflower, dates, kale salad for dinner with said vinaigrette. I ate the small thigh without the skin and ¼ of salad - the rest was Mr. Sophie's portion.
