  1. Home stretch. Good luck!
  2. My experience has been like yours. When I got to puree, it changed some. Pureed salmon salad, turkey salad, and egg salad are filling me up. One third cup per meal. Cottage cheese and yogurt don't seem to. I just had the Ricotta bake that is so famous here, and it was awesome, and filled me up. First hot food in a month! Beside broth. Folks here are getting by on 300-500 calories a year out, and im at 500-700, three weeks out. That worries me, but I'm going with my program, getting my hydration and protien every day.
  3. No suggestions for your gas, but nice work on the major weight loss brother!
  4. I had trouble with premier about a week and a half after surgery. Switched to muscle milk and they were much easier. Maybe try another brand.
  5. You are on pace for 156 lbs in a year. 52 weeks at 3 lbs a week.
  6. Caffeine was tough for me. The headaches are real. I'm in my third week post and don't even want it anymore. I'm pretty shocked. I have good energy and am just concentrating on protein and hydration. Try to embrace the changes. Keep your eye on the prize. Good luck!
  7. I'm in NC as well. WakeMed bariatric is where I had my surgery. Glad you were approved!!
  8. My wife has threatened that.
  9. Before the 3 week stall police come and tell you to do a search, I'll tell you its normal and right on time. Could last a few weeks.
  10. I cant use patches either.
  11. Good luck Tim. I had surgery on the 16th and am not looking back.
  12. I've read about that place. A BIG one was found recently
  13. Tomorrow is day 15 post. One week of puree finally. My wife and i went shopping today for food for this week. Can't wait for breakfast!!!
  14. 12 days out. Very little pain for me as well. I walked from recovery to my room at the hospital. Three days of pain medication. I had the smell thing too. Its gone now. I had a little insomnia for a few nights but it passed, as well. Sounds to me like your having a similar recovery to me. I have felt very fortunate since I woke up in recovery. I was expecting a rough time.
  15. Yep. I carved the turkey for my family and retreated to the living room with my muscle milk. Tough gay but I enjoyed it anyway.
  16. Thats how mine was done. I'm 11 days out and pain was minimal.
  17. That sounds so good. I'm 10 days out so the whiskey is out i guess but I'm really wanting a cigar.
  18. Yep. I'm day 9. Sucks. Thanksgiving will be horrible. I'm determined to do what they tell me though.
  19. It will be fast now. They move quickly from there. Good luck.
