Seems to vary a lot depending upon surgeon.

I was on a liquid diet for the 1st day after surgery, then moved onto puree on day 2 for the rest of that week. I'm now on soft diet until the 2 month point, where I move onto normal diet.

Healthcare team had me move to soft foods on week 2. I was able to meet fluid requirements. I was able to tolerate puréed meat, mushed hard-boiled egg.

I am 4 weeks post-op and in the puree stage however I am able to tolerate some solids and as long as I am meeting protein goals and not hungry Im going to continue this way! I am supposed to start the soft foods next friday the 11th, which would be 6 weeks post-op.

2 weeks for me
