  2. LOL yeh was very weird, was just thinking how you were doing as well....... Yes log on to the other site because you will find alot of people in the same boat its quite liberating to see that we are all HUNGRY......lol.... Georgina, have you got any ideas where you are gonna go for your next fill....??? How did you find the hospital in orpington...??
  3. Hey Georgina.....XXX So good to here from you.... Yeh i tend to spend most of my time on the above site, its alot more useful. I am doing alright, my first fill went ok had great restriction the first week, but like you now not got much although eating alot less and do get full quite quickly but unfortuntatly i'm hungry quite quickly too. Like you i am gonna go for another fill in september, go to las vegas next week so hoping the band will be ok on the 10 hour flight...! I've lost about 16lb but i think that is my doing as i've been eating healthy and not the band. I know it can take some time to get the right restriction but i am feeling a bit frustrated cause i want to weight to start moving... Anyway, try catch me on the other site (user same as this one). Or i'll catch up with you on this site, pls stay in touch. Debbie x
  4. Hi Guys As Much as i love this site and have got loads of useful information, the above site is especially designed for people in the UK and is Brilliant, with lots of nice people giving advice such as local fills, etc..... Check it out Debbie xxxx

  6. Oh my heart goes out with you Travelman, hope everything turns out ok...X D...X
  7. Hi All Good Luck to you all waiting surgery, you will be fine. Remember this is a start of a great journey Lots Of Love Debbie x
  8. Hi Lisa You will know after having the surgery when you are restricted and when you are not. Its a funny feelin, like a egg timer, you feel it go down then the stuck type feelin, before it goes through to the bottom half of the stomach. Getting the fill done did not hurt at all, you dont feel a thing whilst getting the saline put in. The needle itself isnt nothin, u dont have to look if you hate needles and u only feel a little scratch. Hope it helps Debbie x
  9. Hi Ann Poor u....! I had my first fill today and was dreadin it but i didnt find it that bad, i must say i am not really afraid of needles tho as i give blood regularly and used to them by now... ;o) How much restriction have you got...?, i am at 5.5cc in a 10cc band, so am hoping for a little more restriction than before. Hope everything goes ok for you, reference the port i am sure it wont be hardly as bad as the op itself. Goodluck Debbie
  10. Hi Guys I just come back from having my first fill (I only had to wait 9 weeks..!) anyway, it went very well. I already had 3cc in my 10cc band, so the Dr put another 2.5cc in, so now i am at 5.5cc hopefully i will get some restriction. I am gonna give it a couple of week and if there is hardly any restriction i am going to get another fill ASAP.... Debbie
  11. Hi Sallieanne I got a free fill whilst having my xray.. This is only because i have had to wait so long for my xray appointment to come through and i completely kicked off so they are giving me a free fill as way of compensation. Debbie..
  12. Kevin this is a great achievement i am so pleased for you... Do you think you have done this mostly through diet or through the band itself. I cant wait to get to the stage of feelin restricted... Debbie
  13. Its nice to see you ladies are getting the service you paid for with WGA.. I finally received my letter a few days ago so at least i know where i am going next saturday for my first xray and fill, all be it it's 9 weeks later. Debbie x
  14. Hi There After having to wait 9 weeks i am due to have my first fill next saturday and xray. I was wondering if anyone knows what to expect, and if this first fill doesnt give me any restriction, how long i need to wait before i can have my next one. Debbie x
  15. Hi There Does anyone know how long you need to wait to get another fill done if my first fill doesnt give me any restriction...? Debbie
  16. Hi Sallieanne. I am due to have my xray and first fill next Saturday. I had my op done on June the 5th tho, so 9 weeks after my op i am finally having my xray and fill, i must say i aint to impressed on how long i have waited, i can feel i have no restriction so hopefully the first fill with at least give me some. I had Mr Richardson too in Bromsgrove, was fitted with a 10cc band. Did they say yesterday how long you need to wait for your first fill then and where do u need to go to get it done..? Debbie x
  17. Oh no Christine, that not so good. Did they say how long you have to wait for another fill....? I am hoping mine next week will give me restriction, i can eat anything at the moment. Debbie
  18. Hi Trace, thats for the advice, i cant wait to hav my fill next saturday i just hope it gives me good restriction cause at the moment i can honestly eat anything without any problems. Has anyone else found this...? Debbie
  19. Just an update.... Still no letter from THG regarding my suppose fill on the 9th Aug, (i'm tellin u girls it wants to happen)... So ANOTHER phone call is needed on Monday...!!! They are SOOOO Frustrating....! Georgina, have you got a discharge date yet also for Mr Richardson..? , i had a phone call the other day to say mine had been cancelled for the 25th July (Not that i knew i had an appointment then...!!!) and that someone would ring me to rearrange..as usual No phone call....!
  20. Hi Kev Wooooww your doing soooo well, its nice to see you have some restriction. I can practically eat anything at the moment and so need my first fill (Roll on two weeks) anyway you keep up the good work and that 15 stone is just round the corner... Take Care Debbie
  21. Hi Georgina How you getting on..? Not long for your first fill eh..? I am desp for mine at the moment, cant practically eat anything...!!! Stil havent received any written communication from THG, have you...? Debbie x
  22. Hi Sallieanne What you are feeling is all normal, i had bad wind and a pain in my left shoulder for a few days, just keep taking pain killers every 4 hours cause this will really help. Give it a week and you will feel loads better. Welcome to band life Debbie
  23. Morning Fellow Bandsters I was wondering if anyone had any information on travelling with band fills. I am due to have my first band fill on the 9th of August, but due to go to america on the 2nd September, the flight is for 10 hours. I so want my fill as seriously hungry now, and dont want to wait after my holiday. Any advise would be appreicated. Debbie x
  24. Hi Katie I have already had my band fitted, but i just wanted to wish you good luck... Debbie xx
  25. Hey Georgina Like you i am starting to feel hungry, like all the time...! It is gonna be very difficult until my fill on the 9th of August, now i am wishing that i'd said it was too long away to Hayley. That reminds me, have you had your letter yet from THG will all the information about where to go in orpington etc... cause i havent..!!! They are starting to really annoy me now... Well i have been eating most things to be honest, (Apart from Bread..!) i've had salad most days, tonight i had Spag Bol, last night i had a weight watchers fish pie which was really nice. I know what you mean about omlettes, cause when i was in my 3-4 weeks thats all i had and it does make you very constipated, but i got around this by just drinking lots of water, it was easy for me to do that cause i was in spain at the time... ha ha and the weather was very hot...! Hey Georgina like i said in my previous post try not to worry about the weight loss, just concentrate on getting the band heeled, and getting our first fills and away from the hosptial group, i think we will be both plain sailing then. D..x
