  1. i was told mushies for 24hrs but had a dinner i had to go to so just went easy and ate normally
  2. i was banded on 10sept and had my first fill on 30th oct i had 5cc put in a 14cc band
  3. can i ask for those that have been banded but not yet have restriction or those that can remember back what do you eat on an average day, i have a full appitite and not sure if im overdoing it
  4. hi sorry to hear you didnt get the result you wanted if it any help i found reductil really good and lost 5 stone in 3 months on but it ushed up my blood pressure so had to stop it then the weight all crept back on but it can work well makes you feel full after a small meal but give it time, if that doesnt work and you have tried xenocol then you can try again for banding
  5. im in same boat my swelling has gone and i have 3 weeks till my first fill i cant stick to well to the restriction sized portions so iv learnt to eat till im full then stop i know if iv had to much and have only done that once
  6. it was intersting reading this as im 3wks post op and dont have my first fill for another 4 wks and am eating at normal speed again i think i may well hit the same problems so will be interested in what is said
  7. well done you thats great weight loss im 3wks post op and can eat nearly everything! iv lost 20lbs but am now just maintaining that weight while waiting for fill but have been told this is normal just wish i wasnt so hunrgy but luckily love fruit so thats seeing me thru in the evenings
  8. bet it tasted goooooood!! im 3 wks post op and can eat sandwiches fine but i have no restriction yet although i cant eat crusty bread one mouthfull gave me a blockage that hurt like hell lol wont be trying that again!!
  9. im eating more than you i think! my usual day is 1 boiled egg slice of bread for Breakfast i sandwich ham and tomatoe usually lunch i bowl of casserole little meat usually turkey or chicken and lots of veg in evening 2 or 3 bits of fruit as Snacks im only 3 wks post op so have no restriction yet tho and am always hungry but like other lady said you should not spend more than20/30 mins on eating as the food you eat will have passed thru the pouch befor you finished allowing you to eat to much
  10. my liquid diet was 4 pints of milk sugar free milkshake mix i bowl of jelly i hot bovril/oxo drink i had to do this for a week i could have as much Water tea/coffee as i wanted it was hard but i lost 10lbs in the week after surgery i had Soups and yogurt and lost a further 10lbs im now 3 wks post op and eating as normal while waiting for my first fill good luck
  11. im now 3 weeks post op and the port site has finally settled and i dont feel it unless i bend down iv been sleeping on my side since the first week but i roll a duvet[i think you call them something different] and throw my leg over it that way im on my side but not to flat and it worked wonders. your eating will settle too im now eating completly normally with no restriction at all just waiting for my first fill now dont worry it will get better hang in there
  12. hi im 2 weeks post op and trust me the pain goes really quickly i was only on paracetomol but things done slightly different in uk because i was on soup, yogurt, and pureed food with in a day and now 2 weeks on im already back to normal food as long as it not to hard ie toast and biscuits etc just make sure you get lots of rest but when wind bad either walk or rock back and forward i found this eased it greatly or try gripe water if you have it you may also be constipated because your not eating i only go once every 3 or 4 days now
  13. im on nhs so only allowed fills every month and have been warned it may take 2 or 3 goes befor good restriction is got im only a week post op tho so still have swelling restriction im hoping that dont go to soon good luck and let us know how you get on
  14. hi im 2 days post op and eating half a small tea cup of soup for lunch and tea and a small yogurt for breakfast and feeling good on that so far iv also been told semolina weetabix with pleanty of milk are good i also had smoothies in hospital wich were yummy
