Gorgonio got a reaction from mlmx1138 in Surgery tomorrow 11-10-20
Hello I respect your decision of not telling anyone. There will be a plethora of questions that quite frankly you dont owe an explanation too. I made the choice to be completely open about my surgery and its alot of work. Always remember it is a tool. Youd never judge someone for using a car to get cross country instead of walking or judge someone for using a nail gun to build a house instead of a hammer. Both ways to a goal are valid. Anyway, follow all instructions the surgeon gives you even when it painful. The hardest part is right when you wake up from surgery because you have gas pain, so Walk WALK WALK!!!
Other than that I did not do pureed meats. Made me think of dog food lol. If you look at my page you can follow my insta and I can send more details of how I did my post op diet. I lost 120 pounds in 6 month. My Drs. And team where in shock. Good luck!

I'm 11 months post OP and have lost 120 LBs. Overall it's a great experience but my Calcium and Vitmain levels keep dropping. I'm finding it more and more difficult to buy supplements. It was a cost that I wasnt warned about during my consultations. I work full time and have been raising my brother and sister because my parents where deported to Mexico in 2010. I made the decision to raise them when I turned 18. It's a difficult journey and unfortunately my supplements go on the back burner because of how expensive they are. Anyone have advice on how to get supplements cheaper. I'd greatly appreciate any helpful information.

Hey everyone. Editing your surgery, and photos are done on computer. Some phones will allow you to upload photos. No phones will allow you to update surgery info. Sorry ;/

Hi, I want to warn you the easiest part is to get approval. The toughest part is putting your new tool to proper use. Make sure your mental health and eating patterns are addressed. You only get this tool once.!

Sometime I do. I dont bother weighing myself. I dont look in the mirror and judge my skin or my progress. I usually go up to my siblings and give them a huge hug that comes with a. "I can wrap my arms around you know". That helps when I'm feeling like have made no progress. 😊
  9. Congrats!

I can’t believe it but my last dietician appointment is in the morning! My insurance required 6 mo. of appointments before anything could be submitted to them. I’m so happy & so nervous I won’t get approved. I’m trying to get to sleep but had to come tell y’all this first! 😴

Yes year 3 weight gain very common. The sleeve effect wears off somewhere between year 2 and 3.

Agree with suggestion to track your intake to see what you are really eating in terms of calories now.

are you still tracking your intake? You may be taking in more calories than you realize. My weight goes up when I'm not tracking. What a normal day's menu look like for you?
it's not likely that you're not eating enough. If your calories are OK, maybe there is something medical going on.

btw - gaining weight in year 3 is unfortunately very common. But you can stop it by really clamping down.
