Exercise
It's hard. It's pretty hot during the day, so I just make it a habit to take my kids outside at 8. Once we're outside, I take off and walk the street. We don't do it everyday, probably 3-4 times a week. It's something. Believe me, I can be inside all day watching tv, but it isn't fair to them who are also stuck inside. Wish you luck, you can do it.

Hungry post op
In the same boat. My husband cooks for the kids and I have to see/smell macaroni, pizza, pasta, and cereal. I have chewed a few items and later spit. I'm also a good week away from pureed foods. You can do this!

Staying Positive
So I should be pretty pleased, I've gone from 249 on surgery date to 233 since July 16th. But yesterday, I felt like back to square one. My incisions were itching, my left shoulder was aching and my back. It was so bad I got out the heating pad. I really don't feel any different after taking the narcotics, I even added a Tylonel. But anyways, I got through the day. It didn't help that something I ate gave me diarrhea, and today I'm trying to figure out what it was. I had pudding, oikos, and tonkotsu broth. I stayed in my room all day binging tv,, it was pretty depressing. Today, I need to go do something and get out of the house. This covid, isn't helping. Extreme Cabin Fever due to me recovering and covid. Sorry for the vent.

Preop liquid diet. Cheated [emoji21] no judgment plz!
I cheated a few times. You're only human. My husband felt sorry for me and I nibbled on a few things they were eating during lunch. I had to drink a protein shake for b and l and dinner a small meal. Well, in the beginning it was hard. Plus, I think I ate sunflower seeds. I doubt my doctor is going to say anything about my liver not shrinking. Surgery was still a success and I am down almost 15lbs in 8 day.

Sleeve
Also sleeved on July 16th and I'm constantly sipping. I don't get the urge to pee but I do. My instructions say 48 to 64oz. I don't keep track, I just eye my pee color.

My bad
So I emailed my nutritionist in the am and asked if I can move on to creamy soups (I'm on day 7). She said just listen to your body. I was so eager to try Cream of Mushroom that I added a quarter can of whole milk when it called for a whole can. I misread my full liquid diet directions and poured myself half a cup. Well, lets just say I know my limit now. Less than a quarter of a cup!! Not only that , thirty minutes later I ran to the restroom 3x!! Was this dumping or am I lactose intolerant??

Post-op
Day 7 and I still feel pain bending over and coughing. The mornings are rough but I think it's because I go awhile without pain meds. Still hurts to sleep on my side.

Almost time!
You'll do fine! Ask the nurses during pre-op if you're going to get a nausea patch. it did/It's doing wonders for me. Have yet to get nausea. They gave me that along with a pill. Recovery is the worst, but just remember it's gets better literally within hours.

having trouble breaking 400 calories
I'm on day 7 and barely breaking 200 every day (Protein Shake and Broth). I thought I'de experience extreme fatigue, but haven't. Just some naps here and there due to the pain meds.

Suggestions on multi vitamins
I'm taking what they sell at the Dr.'s office but ordered it on Amazon. Chewables by Bariatric Advantage. 20$ without Iron, 40$ with Iron. I know, pricey!

Tuna Fish
I'm looking forward to tuna, too. But was told to wait until week 3.

Want to chew!!!
My doctor said I can switch to Cream of _________Soup, for week two. So, looking forward to Thursday, (2nd week). My 3rd week is pureed food.

Please Help! Surgery tomorrow, threw up bowel prep
I didn't have those instructions, either. I did take a suppository that morning just to be on the safe side.

Feeling no pain
Day 4 here and I'm taking slow sips. I get pain after drinking too quick. Like a rising painful burp, which I'm use to. Other than that, some pain on incision, ab area. Like when I'm rising out of bed.

Am I eating too little?
I ordered Premier Protein Clear on Amazon, I should get it by tomorrow. I seriously think I drank only 100 calories, these past 3 days, I need calories!

Liquid Diet
I had my liquid diet two weeks prior but it included 1 meal, protein and 1-2 cups of veggies. I know the first day, I had to eat half my protein at 2:30. I ate later my other half with veggies After that I was able to drink two protien shakes and make it till 5 for dinner. I cheated with egg drop soup twice I think. I was also able to drink homemade broth so that kept me from starving kinda. If you want a bite try 1 spoon of what you are craving. Just to get it out of your system. I see nothing wrong.

Waist Binder
Thanks for the input.

Waist Binder
If you were sent home with one, how long did you keep it on for? I haven't taken mine off yet and it's day 4. I'm getting real itchy under there, too. I also have been avoiding the shower, which I plan on taking today. How did you shower? Normal, just ignore the incisions?

Am I eating too little?
I sip on water and Gatorade Zero all day long. I'm not tracking the oz's like I should but I was told as long as I'm peeing clear, I should be hydrated. I also sip on atleast 3 cups of homemade beef broth. I don't feel fatigued. I have Premier Protein, but can't have those until next week. Should I get Premier Protein clear? I also was told not to take my vitamins until day 4 or 5. Is this norm? I'm not even hungry. Looking at my directions, it just says to drink 48-64oz a day, nothing about Protein.

Your Dr.'s goal weight/BMI for you?
One of my first appointments with my doctor, I said I wanted to lose 100. I was currently at 257 at the time. He said he liked that goal. On surgery day, I was 249. I managed to get down to 241, but gained due to covid. I will be happy at 150, 130 tops..nothing lower, I'm 5'5.

Stomach pains
Second day was a little better. Walking every hour around the house. The only thing I am not comfortable with is bending over to pick up things. My spirometer has gotten better, too. I did have pain, but I was used to it, it's right after I drink, I get a rising pain, kind of a burp. But I will say, I have not experienced the gas pains.

Sent home after 7 hours!
When yall do start weighing after your first post Dr. visit, how often do you weigh yourself?
-
Sent home after 7 hours!
Thanks! I will look into that one. We are both tired of the one we have, whenever you move it to a different place on the tile it can range a 6lb difference!

Sent home after 7 hours!
Great advice on the scale. I won't, until my first visit with the doctor. Can you recommend any good scales?
