Day 6 of Liquid Diet. Surgery on 2/23!!
Well today is day 6 of the liquid diet and I have to say after the first couple of days it hasn't been that bad. My pre op diet was liquid only. I could have strained Cream of whatever soup. I didn't eat one of the SF popsicles until about day 4...WOW! Those are a game changer. I love those things! I have not had any kind of popsicle in over 30 years or more. On Monday I am going to drink water and eat popsicles and Jello, I am over the broth. I am also having the lap band taken out that has been in there for 15 years or so and thankful to get rid of that thing. Anyway less than 48 hours until surgery. I have stocked up on everything I can think of. I got some dry mouth spary as I saw on YouTube a lady that said it was a life saver. Ready to roll and hopefully not be fat much longer. Thanks

Super Dooper Protein Shake
I split the chocolate and Vanilla because I like a light chocolate. I m a little strange about that I guess. Honestly with everything in it I may try all chocolate. Anyway this is an easy way to get your protein in. I understand that after surgery I will not be able to drink this like I can now right away but if you put in a Yeti it stays cold for a long time. My surgery is Tuesday and I am ready to go!

Super Dooper Protein Shake
I make a shake and get all of my Premeir Protein in first thing. I use half a chocolate and half a vanilla proein shake. You can use what ever you want. But that is 30 grams. I add a scoop of unflavored whey protein 18 grams. and a scoop of multi collagen protein 9 grams and half a tub of what ever flavor of Triple Zero yogart 8 grams with some crushed ice and blend it. That is a 65 gram protein shake and I could and will drink one of these every day from now on. It is delicious to me. Give it a try.

Weight training and excercise vs little or no exercise
I have been looking at a lot of before and after pictures on here and they are awesome. One thing that jumps off the page at me is the folks that resumed or started weight training after surgery are just amazing looking! I understand that is not for everyone for various reasons, just an observation. I am half way thru my liquid diet and have my surgery on Tuesday 2/23. The first 2 days on the liquid diet really sucked. Today , day 4 ,has not been so bad. I am thinking that last day before surgey may not be as bad as I anticipated. Honestly at this point I think I can just drink water and eat jello. I have not had any popcycles yet so I may throw those in on tht last day. Anyway, I am hoping I can get in the gym when my surgeon says it is ok and get after it. Good luck to everyone and continued success.
