  1. I was able to burp it out! That helped a lot, the staple line on my belly has remarkably not created any pain as I expected. I was super sleepy yesterday and only going to take an occasional pain pill today. I took 2 every 4 hours yesterday until bedtime and just took one. I have had no problem with fluids. I was afraid I might be drinking to much but the nurse that called this morning said the more water the better,Stay in touch
  2. I have anxiety as well. I took my clonazapam the night before and they gave me one the night I was in the hospital. That first day you have surgery you will probably sleep a lot. You are going to do great...Don't sweat it!
  3. Hey we have the same surgery date! Day 2 post op today and a tad of belly pa. I am going to take one pain pill instead of 2 and see how that works. Good luck and stay in touch.
  4. Glad you came out of this doing well. My mouth was super dry but I took some dry mouth spray that helped. I was able to drink a lot of water day 1, as matter of fact that is all I have had so far.I also had some gas whch ws uncomfortable. It took me hours to pee. I still feel like I am taking in more liquid than I am expelling. No Nausea, vomiting or pain which has been the biggest surprise so far. Stay in touch!
  5. Nothing to it. Follow the instructions by the surgeon and dietician to a "T" and you will be fine. I am 2 days post op with no regrets. Wish I could have done this earlier. Good luck!
  6. Thanks for the encouraging words! Everything did go great! am surprised that the day following surgery that I was essentially pain free. Thanks again
  7. Glad to hear! Please continue to share your journey. ada
  8. I had gas but I just burped it out. It didn't come out the other end Very surprised at the lack of pin today. I my have some pain down the road but not the day after surgery! I also had lap band removed. No problem getting my liquid down today either! Good luck!
  9. Thanks! The only problem I have right now is dry mouth and water retention but neither of those are a major problem. I also had my lap band removed . No pain or hunger yet!
  10. I bought some dry mouth spray for surgery day. Did the hospital let anyone chew SF gum in the hospital after surgery? Crazy question but you can get an answer to just about anything on here! Thanks
  11. That is great info...Thanks for sharing!
  12. I have been constipated for a couple a days and finally had BM followed by a couple of hours of Diarrhea That was brutal. Surgery in 8 hours,,,,Thanks again
  13. My surgeon participates in an enhanced recovery program at the hospital that I had my surgery at. They automatically give Zofran (for nausea) along with other meds like Tramadol for pain so I didn't have much nausea at all. I did have a fair amount of gas pain from the CO2 gas that they use to inflate your abdomen with during the surgery. Not everyone has this though. I got a couple of doses of Dilaudid and that helped a lot! They will have you walk a lot after surgery which also helps with the gas. Good Luck tomorrow!! You got this!!!! 19. WOW Dude that is crazy! Any idea why you lost so fast? Did you hve ny hair loss losing weight that fat? It doesn't appear so from the picture. Were you exercising a lot nd eating very little during that time? Thanks for replying and congratulations!
  20. Yes...sharing is welcomed. I did not read it is being judgemental.
  21. Love the name! Wow 2 weeks pre op diet... that stinks! Oh well t least you will lose some weight. Here are a couple of things that helped me. Premier Protein(30 G) shake, add a scoop of unflavored whey protein (18G) and a scoop of multi collagen protein (9 G) a half tub of Triple Zero yogart (8G) some crushed ice and blend. You have a 65 gram protein shake right there that is dang tasty! Also the SF popsicles re awesome. I will eat 3 or 4 night. I love them. I probably have not eaten a popsicle in 30 years...they really do the trick! Good luck!
  22. I am ready to move on to the next phase of mu life beginning Tuesday morning! Thanks for the kind words!
